Services
Countryside Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the Yorkville IL area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Gary Schlapp, who is a licensed, experienced Yorkville veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep their pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Countryside Veterinary Clinic was established in 1972 by the late Dr. Jewell Dean Schlapp. Dean had a strong passion for animals and a vision of a veterinary clinic that cares for pets with the same intensity of medical care and consideration given to human patients.

It was his devotion to veterinary medicine that has made Countryside Veterinary Clinic what it is today - a full-service facility offering the most progressive and up-to-date treatment and technology for pets.Countryside Veterinary Clinic employs approximately 30 individuals. Our team is a combination of Doctors, managers, technicians, receptionists, animal care takers and housekeeping personnel.
We offer Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) digital radiographs necessary for promoting quality breeding programs. Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.
The Doctor team is responsible for each pet's medical needs. A few of their responsibilities include diagnosing, educating, establishing plans of care, prescribing medications, monitoring progress, evaluating states of health, performing anesthesiology, surgery and medical procedures and interpretation of radiographs and laboratory tests.
Call when you arrive if you choose curbside service and we will come out to get your pet. If you choose to come in, please wear a mask, and wait in your car until your assigned appointment time. Call if you have questions: 630-553-7436. Countryside is wonderful! I take all three of my cats here, and I'm always so impressed with how they accommodate for each cat based on their personalities.

We had an emergency today and Dr. a
Schlapp and his team were as to work us in even though they had a bigger emergency just before us with a poor pup who had been hit by a car. They are doing curbside pickup of you let while you wait outside. Although they said there would be a wait when we called ahead to let them know we were coming, the wait was about 5 mins. We were in and out unless than an hour. Dr Schlapp himself came out to the parking lot to give me the prognosis. Although he could have recommended x-rays, he said it wouldn't change his treatment so why add those charges. Including meds
