This hotel was ok. The design and anesthetic once you are inside is cool. I love all the tile and the pool area.
Service was ok. Check in was odd.
I didn't really like the location, felt like we were pulling in to a strip mall and it's right next to highway 111.
We are very active when we come to town and were bummed there was no gym, no bikes - nothing we could do for exercise at our from the hotel.
It was cute but doubt we would stay again.

The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant was good and the staff were friendly, but I’m giving it only 3 stars because the standard of cleanliness in the rooms was not good. While nicely decorated, the shelves in the cupboard were dusty, the rug looked filthy (especially as my wife trod on something sharp imbedded in the carpet on the first night and cut her foot), and even the bath tub had dirty marks on the side. The standard of cleanliness brought the entire experience down and had this been better, I would have given this hotel a much better review.

Loved this sweet spot in Indian Wells! It was perfect for a girls trip that included pool time, drinks poolside and dinner at the Pink Cabana. The rooms are BEAUTIFUL and so nicely remodeled. The entire place is a dream for social media influencers and very photogenic. The staff was helpful and kind! Can't wait for an excuse to go back!

The hotel was lovely. A very unique boutique type resort. The pool was perfect. The wait staff were very attentive and kind.
Why the 3 stars? Because my service dog was attacked by an unrestrained pit bull while we were crossing paths to check out. Because emails and phone messages to the General Manager continue to go unanswered. Because the Manager who called me hours after the fact (there was no manager on duty Monday morning at 7:30 a.m.) stressed the hotel's lack of liability rather than focusing on what could be done. Because the hotel's webpage states that dogs must weigh

Very unassuming when you pull into the parking lot (hotel located in a small strip mall) but when you enter the doors, you immediately step into a little paradise. The decor is a mix of Moroccan and mid-century and it's the perfect boutique hotel to stay in the desert. Everything is clean, the pool area is very cute, pool food is from pink cabana, service is fantastic and the rooms are well designed. Great value

WARNING: NO CLEANING OR SANITIZING IS BEING DONE HERE! And we are in a PANDEMIC! DISGUSTING! We arrived 10 am and had to "wait for our room to be cleaned and ready" for 5 hours. We waited at the pool which is the middle of the building where you you have a view of all the doors of the rooms. NOT ONCE DID WE SAW ANYONE GO IN AND OUT TO CLEAN NOR DID WE SEE ANY CLEANING CARTS. When we finally got a key to our room, the bathroom and bed and had long dark hair and shot body hairs everywhere. No soap or shampoos were refilled in the room, in fact the shampoo bottle was left empty and used

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the resort. Our deluxe king room was nice with a comfy bed and nice tub. The pool was so relaxing and Wendy was the best! Our food and drinks at the pool and the Pink Cabana were delicious and the staff was super nice. We only had positive encounters with the staff at this cute hotel. We even had a massage in the couple’s room and it was perfect. We would definitely stay here again for a needed getaway!

Had the unpleasant experience of attempting to have dinner with wife last week at The Pink Cabana... Looking back the experience started in the parking lot, hotel staff do not greet you or even look at you as you walk in. Hostess sat us in the worst seat despite the entire place being emptied. Refused to let us sit anywhere else. Waitress said she was told we are not allowed to order drinks and appetizers first we must place full order or move to the bar... needless to say we left. I attempted to call management the following business day and was told there was not only no managers of any kind

Just stayed here this past July 4th weekend and it was great. Even dined at The Pink Cabana and the food was delicious. There were a couple issues I had staying here but overall enjoyed my stay.
First of all, the security of the hotel keys. After checking in around 8pm, we were informed of where to go but it was quite dark and my boyfriend misread the room#. Our room was 26 but he went to 25. The strangest part, our room key opened room 25 and someone happened to be inside at the time too (we are sooo sorry). We informed the front desk and she seemed just as confused as we were as to why this

This is my new favorite spot in the desert. Its in an unusual location. You might not notice it If you drove by. Mid-century, Moroccan motif. It's an 18yo and older hotel that's very dog friendly. Beautiful, clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds and a fantastic, minimalist salt-water pool. Lots of foliage, cabanas and mist sprayers.
They have a great restaurant/bar and a spa (that we didn't use). Staff is very friendly and it's just a great, low-key, comfortable place for adults to relax, drink cocktails by the pool and have great meals.

Outstanding stay this past week. The property, including rooms, the pool deck and gardens are pristine. My wife and I stayed in a basic king-bed room with a connected and private patio off the back. The beds, pillows and linens are incredibly comfortable, we slept wonderful every night. Impeccable poolside service, with excellent food coming out of the attached Pink Cabana. We'll most definitely be back, and highly recommending others that we know check it out.

BRIDES AND GROOMS BEWARE!!!
SUPER DISAPPOINTED WITH OUR EXPERIENCE! My fiancé and I were working with this hotel for OVER 3 MONTHS trying to plan our wedding reception in their space. The normal catering manager was out on medical leave so most of our time was spent working with her stand in replacement. We were flexible, patient and very accommodating with her overwhelmed coworker who clearly did not have the proper support in place. After weekly back and forth conversations for 3 months, we were finally sent a contract outlining our event.
The contract was missing key information we had

This adorable boutique hotel is a little oasis in Indian Wells. Immediately upon entering, the gentlemen working by the pool offered to place towels down on any lounge bed. And they continued to be of amazing service day and night! Offering to grab us water, help with luggage, it felt like amazing customer service, like I was getting an experience. I've actually never been to a hotel pool that is fully staffed like this. Shoutout to Julian who was so amazingly helpful and personable with us and all of the other guests I saw him speak to. It felt as if he was a friend to all of the guests staying

Coming from a hotel employee, this was the worst hotel I've stayed at in regards to service and cost. First off, the lotion and bath salts in our room were already used and opened, which concerns me in regards to standards of cleanliness in the housekeeping department ( if they aren't thorough enough for this, what else are they not doing/checking).
Second off, my sister reserved ( and paid for ) a cabana 4 months ago. No one ever called her or anything and , come the day of my sisters bachelorette, they gave the cabana to someone else. Never a call. Email. Zero. Hopefully my sister

Absolutely adored our time here at The Sands! Wish we could have stayed longer and ready to visit again soon. The room was everything and more we could have imagined from the photos online. The attention to detail and curation of in suite items and decor was superb. Not only was the room extremely clean, but throughout the hotel it felt refreshing and clean. Every inch of the hotel is picturesque and a dream. The team at The Sands and Pink Cabana go above and beyond and truly made us feel so special during our stay. They all were so helpful and kind with great recommendations, and overall great

I finally got a chance to visit this gem last weekend.
Everything was incredible - the decor, the food, the cocktails, the staff. This is officially my favorite palm desert getaway.
I was so impressed by the staff and how attentive they were! I arrived way before check-in time and they made sure i was relaxed by the pool while i waited for my room. Not only were they able to check me in early, but they physically walked over and let me know my room was ready and they walked me to my room.
I loved the cabanas and that they were first come first serve. Really made me feel comfortable with COVID

Had such a lovely stay at Sands Hotel and Spa! One of my girlfriends invited me to do a staycation at this hotel and we had the most relaxing couple of days.
For covid measures, the front desk was very sanitary for check-in, with sanitized pens and hand sanitizer. The hotel seemed to be under booked as well, so you weren't running into a bunch of people in the hallways or at the pool.
Our room was so clean and beautiful! The mini bar in the room looked amazing too, even though we didn't drink or eat anything. It's fully stocked though to meet all your drinking and snacking needs

The place is beautiful , I loved it the rooms are nice and clean looks very new , the food at the restaurant was good too bad you cannot sit inside because indoors is breath taking .
The service is just ok not as nice I will expect I had 2 little complaint and didn't seem to care .
At night I say a mouse or a rat by the pool and I told them are you aware of that because the first thing I ask everywhere I go
Is that I have fobia if I see those animals I literally screen but they were not too many guest if you like me that you scare of mice rats or anything like it they are some but they don

This is one of my very favorite hotels, hands down. I went here once not too long ago with some friends and just fell in love with the Old Havana style & decor.
My boyfriend & I planned a getaway trip to avoid all the crazy holiday crowds & we were so so glad we stayed at Sands Hotel.
It is a boutique hotel so there are only so many rooms in this gem of a hotel. From the moment we checked in we knew we were going to spend a wonderful week here.

I stayed at the Sands last week for work. I typically have to be in Indian Wells for a work event every January, and we always have room blocks at another hotel (big, blah chain). This year, I chose to stay at the Sands as not only was I in love with the decor, the room rate was lower than our block and the hotel was closer to our event location.
I had been to the hotel a year ago but only to dine at the Pink Cabana. Absolutely love how Martyn Lawrence Bullard redid the place - so photo-worthy! It reminds me so much of riads in Marrakesh.
