Good food, good service, slow blues on the sound system… what??? How did they know?? Sal made me feel very welcome and my waiter, Theodore was great! All at reasonable prices. The pasta fagioli is to die for and I the pasta with spicy sausage and broccoli was spot on. everything was just perfect. I’ll be back.

A wonderful place for not live entertainment and a hearty meal. Don’t listen to the naysayers who are whining about their to go orders or overly picky people suggesting that they should be a Michelin rated restaurant and they’re not getting their value for 20 dollars. The staff cares and you will always have a good time.

Just experienced an outstanding evening at Cafe Centro! Food, Veal Francois, bar service (Michelle), musicians and eclectic patrons! All combined for a very special evening! We'll be back as soon as soon as possible!! Thank you Sal and your lovely wife, the chef, Michelle (mixologist) and the musicians!!

Well.. the entertainment was fun.. but, the food was yikes! The chicken linguini had over-cooked chicken and pasta was undercooked and inedible. The same with the clams dish and it was over salted! No bread comes with the $$$ dinner. The large popover thing was extra, was hard and served without anything to dip or spread. Don't go there for food! Drinks and done is probably more fun.

It's got nice ambience and the waiter was very nice. The beet/goat cheese salad was really good along with the octopus for the appetizers.
BUT... the main course was below par. I had the pasta bolognese which was over salted and my wife had the shrimp scampi which tasted like old cooking oil.
Great place for drinks but don't expect much out of the menu...

After this place had forgotten an item on my Togo order , I decided to give them another chance. And WOW let me just say.... What another Disappointment! I came in around 2:30pm to dine in with a party of 3 and it looked really dark and empty inside. However, there was someone at the host stand so I thought they were open since the door wasn't locked. The man there is rude yet once again. He throws his hands up and says "we're not open yet I don't have no servers no cooks nothing...." This is unbelievable that a restaurant would be closed during such a busy time of day.

Where do I begin the tale of this love affair? About 3 years ago I had a friend celebrate her Birthday here. The moment I saw the puffed garlic bread I knew I was in for something good! I call it Italian puri! It is divine! Then I tried the tried the grilled octopus appetizer...ladies and gents stick a fork in me I am DONE! Amazing! PERFECTION!!! DIVINE and SUBLIME!! The oysters are also amazing, the mushroom flat bread is ALSO amazing as is the pork chop for dinner or the chicken marsala (bone in!!!)...let me be honest...the beet salad is too. Just go EAT HERE!! Seriously! Even the octopus ordered

Had a fabulous night out at Cafe Centro. This landmark bistro in the Northwood section is a must visit destination. We were entertained by Mr. Larry Johnson and Candy Rivers in classical Motown style. The food was absolutely fabulous. Chef Jaime is a culinary Mozart. Absolutely the best meal we have had in a while. The double cut pork chop was a masterpiece. Best ever. My Laura's salmon was moist, tender and flavorful. Penny and Rodney's filets were five star. Bravo Zulu to all the staff that made the evening a night to remember.

I took my wife on a special occasion to this restaurant and to my surprise, it was one of the best dinners we've ever had. For unknown reasons, I have avoided this restaurant, even though I pass by occasionally. All the servers are really solicitous and extremely friendly. It is the only spot in West Palm Beach that I have found live music entertaining patrons cabaret style; they come to your table and invite you to sing along, people can dance, and much more. All in all, a wonderful experience.
The restaurant also features outdoor seating which is good because the area has an antsy vibe.

Food was good service was horrible. First off the drink order was completely wrong. The waitress told us she couldn't take them back without getting into trouble since it was her first week. Than after she tried to fix the problem we waited about 45 minutes for her to take our order. Than when they brought out the appetizers they also brought out the entries. I told her this was unacceptable and I told her to bring the entries back to the kitchen. About 15 minutes later another waitress came over and took over our table and informed us that they let the other waitress go. Oops. At no time

I'm so happy to be able to write a review that's fantastic from the service to the food and just the way everything was handled was nothing short of wonderful. The host was warm and inviting and kept checking in on us and our server was equally kind and friendly and on top of our drinks. The food was phenomenal ... we had the grilled oysters, crab avocado bruschetta absolutely amazing, pizza, the carbonara and desserts and every bite was terrific. I highly recommend for a delicious meal with tremendous service, perfectly
Made drinks and just good old

I was recently able to try Cafe Centro at Northwood's Candlelight Historic Holiday Home Tour. For an additional $40 we were able to visit and sample food at seven different restaurants before the home portion of the tour.
Located at the end of the street Cafe Centro has recently gotten a renovation after one of the owners left. The result is a gorgeous dining room with floor to ceiling windows that look out past the street down to the water. Executive chef, Jamie Steinbrecher is running the kitchen having come from Okeechobee Steakhouse where he worked the last 12 years. At night you can
