The Waterway Cafe opened its doors in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1986. Built by entrepreneurial businessman and real estate developer Jefferson Vander Wolk, it is located on the site of the former Waterway Marina. Featuring Florida's only floating bar, Waterway Cafe has become an iconic landmark as well as a popular tourist destination and a local favorite.

Great place with water and bridge views. Amazing floating Tiki Bar as well where you can stop by for a drink 🍻 if you are boating 🛥.
The place was established in 1986 with an extensive menu that has something for each one. No bottomless drinks any day, but nice happy hours are on the weekdays.
We tried the fried shrimps appetizer and the grilled Mexican-style ones that were outstanding. Grilled steak salad and Seafood Gumbo where very good.
Service was attentive. We will be back..

The food was excellent. I enjoyed everything I tasted and ate. Our party ordered 6 different adult drinks, all of which were delicious. We ordered apps, entrées, and desserts. The atmosphere is wonderful and something very special. Being out on the water made it all the better. Our server was super quick, friendly, and did a great job.

My wife and I love going to Waterway Cafe! Great location, nice people, good bartenders, waiters/waitresses, good consistent food and just a happy environment. Went there last night and we stood at the outside bar to order a drink. We noticed a high top came available and the wonderful bartender said we could sit there. I went down and had a seat as to secure it. My wife stayed at the bar to wait for our drinks. Within a couple of minutes the waiter came up and set down a couple of menus and asked me if I wanted a drink. I told him that we were getting it from the bar and he actually got

Wonderful service from walking in.
On my way to airport and needed a water view stop-off for a couple hours.
Ladies at the front desk were amazingly hospitable and took care of my luggage.
Abraham outside was awesome.
Ordered slightly off menu with some Buffalo shrimp and Abraham recommended the mahi wrap which was also very good.
Rum runner and beer sitting on the water before flying north.
Doesn’t get much better.

What I like about this restaurant is the view..now that servers know us they are attentive and good service ..food kind of spotty unfortunately.I get something on the menu it's terrific order it the next time it's horrible.pork chop dried out ...potatoes couldn't figure out how little potatoes tasted like well nothing..getting desert pick the ice cream cheesecake is an insult.tiny tiny piece cream whip on top and tasted like warm cheesecake from a box..disappointing not worth the calories. Fish sandwich is usually good.no beer on tap.go for the view of watching boats go by..or just

Crab, spinach wind artichoke dip lacked flavor and taste. Accompanying chips were severely overcooked and hard.
Ordered the brisket, short rib, beef burger with fries. It had a distinctive awkward taste that I didn't finish it.
Key lime pie was fantastic.
3 stars for the food solely.

We haven't had the chance to visit the Waterway Cafe in ages. I'm happy to say today was finally the day! We had a great lunch. We brought our boat to the dock and enjoyed lunch for 8 under one of the thatched roofs. Everyone liked their meals of mahi-mahi sandwiches, pizza, burgers, peel and eat shrimp. I had the crab cake appetizer which was served with a delicious corn salsa that was so good I asked for more. I only had the appetizer size because I wanted to say room for the Snickers Explosion which I'd had years ago. It was AWESOME! Jessie took care of us and was very friendly

My family and I came here on a Thursday night for dinner. We made reservations and were able to get a table right away. The restaurant is very big and the inside is beautiful.
We ordered the conch fritters as an appetizer, which were great-- very hot and fresh. For dinner, we ordered the seafood rigatoni, pan seared scallops, parmesan crusted cod, fresh salmon, and fresh trout. I had the fresh trout, which was under-seasoned and bland. Great place on the water with two sections for options to sit outdoors. You can sit and watch the drawbridge go up and down as the larger boats pass through.
Thr food was averagely priced. The food came out quickly for being so busy and all was super fresh. The fish and chips - super good. The burger - so super good - great flavor.
Our server on the other hand...not so great. Which left our glasses empty and never getting us the condiments or extra napkins needed. We did however really like the guy that brought our food to us...he had such a fun personality. Would I go back? Possibly...having

Visiting from NY and our friends who are locals suggested we meet for happy hour. Great happy hour from 5-6. Just walked right through the restaurant straight to the floating bar and grabbed a table. Ordered shareable baked crab and artichoke dip with drinks from their HH menu. Pretty decent appetizers, drinks and good service. Amazing view and feel to the place! Great to sit and watch the boats go up and down we were in heaven. Returned the next day to try dinner and our waiter Fitz was very flexible and accommodating. Had the cantaloupe martini( light on the OJ) and stackable tuna and avocado

Well it's been a long time since my last visit.. a place on the waterfront with a view was on the menu for our sisters lunch today.. The Waterway Cafe has a refreshed new look and new management! And it shows..
Service was excellent! Our server was Jessie and she was attentive and accommodating. Excellent service!
The view was beautiful watching the boats going by and the bridge opening and closing.. it was a perfect day! They are adhering to all CDC guidelines including social distancing.
We ordered the Fried Calamari as our appetizer and it came out piping hot and cooked perfectly! A

The lunch service today was incredibly slow! The food was good - conch fritters, perfectly cooked burger and delicious beet salad. But, we waited 10 minutes for a menu, then had to ask if our table had a server as they kept passing by and not acknowledging our presence. Finally received our drink order and our food was brought out quickly by kitchen staff but our server never returned with burger condiments or to check on our order. My husband finally nabbed a bottle of ketchup from another table where the guests had finished their meal. Disappointing!

We noticed quite a surprisly difference in the quality of food this past couple of visits. I noted to our waitress how impressed we were with the difference in quality. The waitress noted that the restaurant had been under new ownership and they have greatly improved the quality of their food..
We had the grilled chicken with salad along with a few great apetizers and they were absolutely wonderful.
Previously, I only visited this restaurant for lunch, and mostly because they have a wonderful location off the intracoastal. I surely highly recommend this restaurant for Happy Hour as well.

I am going to have to patronize here more often. I was really impressed with Waterway Cafe and their outdoor deck overlooking the intercoastal, as we enjoyed lunch.
Finding Waterway off of PGA Boulevard takes a good eye if you haven't been there before, as the parking lot entrance is just before the eastbound bridge over the intercoastal -- almost hidden if the street sign wasn't there on the right-hand side. But once you make the turn, there is plenty of parking available.
With an indoor dining room and outdoor deck, there's plenty of space to enjoy some beers and food, while
