V7 Martial Arts
Why do I have to cross train? The question is, why not? When you cross train at V7, you can learn different skills that are complementary to each other with no extra costs. For example, with Functional Fitness you can greatly strengthen your body, your cardiovascular condition and become a better version of yourself.

Now, being able to couple that with a different sport like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu per say, you would also reap rewarding benefits by learning a new lifelong skill, be empowered by your ability to defend yourself, learn a new way to further develop problem solving skills, increase your mobility with a variety of fun drills and even discover your new favorite hobby.
Services
At V7 we don't want you to have to choose single sport. Rather, we offer BJJ, Functional Fitness, MMA, Boxing, Judo and Karate as part of an all-inclusive membership. We encourage our members to consistently engage in a variety of classes that suit their physical fitness goals and schedules. We understand that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be intimidating at first.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial arts style derivative from Judo and developed in Brazil by the famous Gracie family. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is based on leverage and timing in order to control one's opponent. The sport incorporates a great variety of very efficient techniques (joint locks, chokes, pins, takedowns and also self-defense focused strikes).
Classes throughout the day to fit your schedule | All access memberships to fit your ever-changing needs. A variety of classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Functional Fitness, MMA, Boxing, Karate, and Judo. For those with a busy schedule, for those wanting to jump start and for those wanting an even more personalized attention, please inquire about our private classes.
I visited V7 because I was in town for a couple works and I was just across the border at SEL in Pullman. I called ahead and inquired about training BJJ during my visit. The staff was incredibly welcoming. Providing me lots of information and asking the right questions to ensure I aligned well with the classes I visited.
For your first class, regular exercise clothes with no zippers or buttons are fine. Later on a gi will be required. A pair of flip flops are also required as we go bare foot on the main martial arts mats, but wear flip flops around the main gym floor. We offer private classes for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Functional Fitness, Mixed Martial Arts, Karate, Self-Defense and Judo.

V7 is a fantastic place to train! They are very professional and the instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're like me and want a chill environment where you can train without worrying about ego and getting needlessly hurt, this is the place to be.
I've been at V7 for a bit over 6 months as of this review and have been training 3-4 times per week. Many years ago, I trained for 2 years in another state under a multiple time BJJ wold champion. I found the training to easily be on par with my prior well known instructor's and I have grown a lot. The smaller class sizes also make

Great gym! I enjoy class, the people and the rolling is the perfect mix of easy and competitive. It is worth the 30' drive from Pullman. I also like that for one membership, I can try boxing, MMA and fitness classes!!

V7 is the best play to train jiu jitsu in the area. I absolutely love it there. The culture is built on respect and love for one another. I highly recommend taking classes there.

I really enjoyed the BJJ classes at V7. My partner and I always felt comfortable during the lessons, though they were definitely challenging. The instructors were incredibly helpful, and kept the classes interesting. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to workout and learn a new skill in a safe, welcoming, and fun environment.

I'd met several of the instructors and members of V7 years before finally enrolling in classes. They were friendly people, and I'd meant to enroll eventually, but somehow work always got in the way.
If I'd known what classes were going to be like, I'd have probably re-arranged my entire life to ensure I could attend.
Now that I've had the privilege of training at several different gyms in the United States and Brazil, I appreciate V7 even more.
Nicolae is a very technical instructor who's always looking out for his students- the level of care and concern for the longevity of his students that

I visited V7 this month while taking an academic break on the Palouse. My brother and his friends who train at V7 regularly invited me to join them. I was nervous on the drive up to the gym but felt reassured when everyone greeted me with a smile and welcomed me onto the mat. I only have 7 months of scattered training but could immediately distinguish the high level of instruction, knowledge, and class Prof. Nicolae Cury had established. His instructors hold the same high standards and are great at providing feedback specific to each participant. The class is diverse, with people from all walks

The Functional Fitness is a very vigorous workout. And if you have not tried BJJ, it is more intense and practical than other martial arts in my opinion. And a ton of fun. What is really special about V7 is the care the staff put into it. At one point I had a minor injury and the follow-up and concern from the staff was surprising. It felt like family.

The people at V7 are what make it such a special place. It's a welcoming atmosphere/culture and the coaches are amazing and knowledgeable. V7 will make you feel like a part of a family while still being professional. The gym manager is extremely helpful and responsive, and makes signing-up and any logistics very easy. The facility is clean and has everything you need to keep you comfortable and focused on training.
I trained BJJ at V7 for around 9 months, until I moved out of the area. One of the few things keeping me in the Moscow area for the last 6 months was V7. My experience at V7 was fantastic

Learning physical skills improves cerebral and cognitive function.
Anecdotally, I have seen a marked improvement in my children’s ability to focus for longer periods of time and learn new academic concepts faster.
For an in-depth dive into why we should all be exercising (playing and learning physical skills) daily, especially our children...I highly recommend the book “Spark.”
Our homeschool curriculum is filled with brain-breaks, play, activity, exercising, gymnastics, and JIU JITSU!!
We (ME TOO!) really enjoy Martial Arts at V7 Martial Arts and Fitness ... thank you so much for teaching

I live in Portland and have been training in the martial arts for 8.5 years. I happened to be in Moscow and came across this excellent academy. Professor Cury, the owner and head coach, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All the students were very welcoming. I highly recommend training here if you live in the Moscow/Pullman area, or are just passing through.

One of the best decisions I've ever made is joining v7. There isn't one single negative thing I can say about it. If you want to have fun, get in shape, while learning practical martial arts look no further.

I came in as a brown belt in judo and a white belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu. In judo I've trained 6 years across 3 continents (Asia 2 years, Europe 2 years, N. America 2 years) and Sensei Nicolae is on par with the world's best in terms of skills, technical insights and instruction. His achievements in the worlds of judo and MMA are highly respectable. Even so, as a teacher he is very considerate of the entire spectrum of physical capabilities but he can see potential wherever you're at physically and encourages you to achieve your macro and micro goals. He fosters a culture of excellence
