EyeCare for You is a locally owned and operated, family optometry office that opened its doors in May of 2015. Apex resident, Dr. Kara Ramsey wanted to open an eye care office that provided personalized care by removing the barriers between doctors and their patients.
Her solution was the Direct Care model which allows for doctors to spend more time with their patients by removing the restrictions that many insurance companies place on in-network optometrists.Our optometrist office was founded on the belief that the highest standards of quality should be applied to all aspects of eye care.

Dr. Ramsey, a graduate of the New England College of Optometry, has been providing exceptional vision care since 2009. She is involved in several local service organizations including providing eye exams to the homeless through the Raleigh Rescue Mission. Dr. Ramsey loves chocolate, Thai food, running, and spending time with her daughter.
At EyeCare for You, we are excited to provide a wide variety of eye care services for you and your entire family. This goes well beyond comprehensive eye exams. Annual exams are an excellent way to maintain your vision and ocular health. Sometimes after these exams, a follow-up appointment is needed, especially when if there is any suspected ocular disease.
EyeCare for You opened its doors in the Spring of 2015. We are located in the Lake Pine Plaza (Kroger) on highway 64 in Apex, NC. We have a professional, but laid back approach at our optometry office that will make you and your family feel right at home. Our optometry office offers a full range of optometric services for all ages from infants to seniors.
We believe that your family deserves the very best eye care and we are willing to challenge the healthcare system to provide that. We are proud to be providers in the Direct Eye Care Movement, which strives to improve healthcare by putting doctors and patient back together, no longer separated by the insurance company.

This was my first time having an eye exam and all the lights and drops in your eyes will probably not be fun anywhere you go. But, I plan to go back to this place the next time I need one. The setting is warm and inviting and the understanding and down-to-earth staff help the experience to be unintimidating. The technology in the office is modern and top-notch and I felt confident that I had thorough imaging and mapping of my ocular health.

The excellent care by the folks at Eyecare for You made for the best experience I've ever had at an eye doctor's office. Dr. Kara, Laura, and Liza are all so wonderful. They truly care and provide personalized attention, much more so than other offices I've been to in the past. I picked this place because the reviews were so good, and they are well-deserved! We've come to this store multiple times to adjust glasses that were stepped on. Kara is incredibly meticulous and really cares about quality: she helped fix the same frame twice after we went to other stores and were told they couldn't do anything. We come all the way from Durham to Apex just because she's the only one we trust at this point. It's worth the extra effort for unparalleled attention to detail.

My husband, two young daughters, and I have all had wonderful experiences with Dr. Ramsey and her staff at EyeCare for You. Dr. Ramsey provides extremely thorough exams. In addition to improving our prescriptions, recommending contacts to meet a variety of needs, she also discovered that our youngest daughter would benefit from vision therapy exercises to enhance her vision. After following through with simple exercises, her vision showed great improvement. The staff all knows us by name, and we feel like we’re part of a family. I’d definitely recommend EyeCare for You!

We could not be happier to have found Dr. Kara Ramsey for our eye care needs! My husband and I both were extremely impressed with our exams. Dr. Ramsey is very thorough and uses the newest technology in her office. In addition, she is current in terms of ways to maintain excellent eye health, and so easy to talk with, yet professional. Her office staff is unusually pleasant and accommodating, and discussed all costs prior to the exam.

Dr Kara Ramsey at EyeCare for You in Apex is absolutely fantastic.
The whole office staff is caring and competent.
I really love the amount of time she spent with me, and with each of my children. It was my three year old daughter’s first experience at the eye doctor’s, and Dr. Ramsey made her feel very comfortable.
The location is super convenient, off 64 in Apex, in the Lake Pine Plaza. The staff is wonderful, the selection of eyewear is very nice, and the office itself looks lovely.

What a wonderful eye doctor and office. The staff is really beyond friendly and helpful. Dr Ramsey is extremely thorough and kind. She truly takes an interest in her patients -- not only their vision and eye health, but as people. I just happened upon this office a couple years back looking for a new eye doctor and wanting to stay local. I continue to recommend this office and Dr Ramsey to friend and neighbors. I wish I could give Dr. Kara and her staff a ten star rating because her level of care and professionalism are beyond that. My mother doesn't have eye care insurance, so I needed a place I could trust without breaking the bank. I have never experienced an optometrist that takes the time and has the patience and care Dr. Kara has and is amazingly affordable!! So much so, that I have decided to drop my insurance and just go to Dr. Kara for my own needs as well. She took a whole hour with my mother and was beyond thorough. My mother was so happy, said it was the first time in a long time she

When I got to my appt they were In the process of cleaning the windows and they apologized for the mess and offered me something to drink. Dr. Kara is fantastic she took the time to actual talk to me and explain a lot about what was being done during the exam. She really helped me understand what was going on with my vision and how to correct. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends or anyone else. If you want a Doctor that takes the time to actual listen to you and address your issues. And you do not want to feel like you are being rushed
