Ventosa Vineyards has been voted a top destination winery in the Finger Lakes. Noted for dry, Old World-style wines, entirely estate grown fruit, Mediterranean cuisine, breathtaking sunsets and views of the eastern shore of Seneca Lake. 100% hand-picked estate vinifera grapes, including Tocai Friulano and Sangiovese, two Italian varieties.
Our 23 acres of estate vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake consist only of vinifera varietals. Ventosa Vineyards is known for producing quality dry red wines such as our award-winning Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and the popular Italian varietal Sangiovese. Ventosa is also one of the few New York State wineries that grow and produce Tocai Friulano, a white Italian varietal.

Just a lovely place and we are so glad we stopped by to enjoy the sandwitch and the wine. Covid-19 precautions led us in a search for good outdoor place and we found Ventosa to have awesome backyard views of the lake and reasonably pet friendly. We are not locals but they do have an amazing outdoor/indoor setup for weddings --- so can imagine this to be a good venue for that perfect day.
Veg sandwitches were good portions and filling, serving was quick, and did i mention backyard views were great?

Came here for wine tastings and lunch over the weekend. Beautiful building. When we entered, no one greeted us and noticed that the wine tasting was at the back of the restaurant. They don't offer any tastings for sweet wine so we asked about lunch. You grab a menu and dry erase marker and then hand it in and pay. However, this was not a good experience. My fiance and I were the only customers but a total of 4 employees talked to each other while not working for a few minutes before taking my order. Ventosa was a great stop for me as an out of state visitor. The view is beyond gorgeous and the wine is great. We had lunch and did a tasting. My favorite wine was the Lemberger. It had a great full body with peppery finish which I love. Thomas also did a great job of guiding us through the tasting and explaining each wine to us. Would definitely recommend this stop for anyone!

First time here and very excited to try! Such a beautiful setting and have always wanted to come here. Ordered up a warm cup of the escarole and bean soup, the cheesy garlic bread and the pizza! The soup was AHMAZING & all the all the other food was great. The service was quick and friendly and you just can't beat the view! I had a glass of the Pinot Gris very light and refreshing and not sweet, paired well with the wine :)

For a family get together of 40 people that was unplanned till 4 days prior to the event, the event couldn't have turned out any better. This was only possible because the venue was picturesque, food was amazing, the staff was friendly that went over and beyond. Chef Ernesto and Victor were of immense help as the Chef was able to accommodate us last minute and Victor was able to help us organize, coordinate and make it easy on us.
I would say, I ate one of the best pizzas and I actually took it home and the crust was still crispy. Everyone at the party loved the food and they were accommodating

I have been to any winery on the fingerlakes and this was an awesome place to begin. The view alone is out of this world. It's located right on seneca lake and for sure Instagram worthy. They do weddings/events here and there was one going on while we were visiting. There's outside seating to sit right above the lake. The food was fine nothing to write home about. There was also a do it yourself motto with a drink machine of pop & water. It worked. We did a wine tasting for $10/each and were able to try 5 types of wines. First the graphics on the labels of the Ventosa wine bottles are beautiful, and the wine tastes good. There was a nice view of the lake. The staff was professional and nice. The venue was busy because a wedding was going on, but my husband and I were still able to get a nice table outside and a good parking spot.

Pretty setting for a winery - it is next to the lake with nice views of water and vines. Went on a Wednesday evening because they have live music and were open later. Tip - make reservations!!! We didn't realize reservations were accepted for dining and every outdoor table (great views and where the band plays) was reserved. Grabbed an indoor table and ordered. The dry Riesling was very good as was the pizza we ordered.

A beautiful vineyard with the lake view. Their wines and the food was too good. We tried the pesto pizza and the margaritha. The crust was thin and perfectly done. The customer service was great too. It has outdoor seating with the lake view which makes it more relaxing. Will be back when we are in the area.

My partner and I had a wonderful afternoon visit to Ventosa! What a stunning space with a sprawling outdoor area, gorgeous views from the patio, banquet hall, and wine tasting room. I see what all the hype is about in terms of a great wedding venue - it looks like it would provide the most beautiful day imaginable. We headed for the tasting room since we weren't really up for lunch. We got settled with our marker and a meny and made our selection of $5 wines. The tasting is currently $10.

So, to start this review off, we got married here in 2011, so it has a special place in my heart. This visit wasn't all that pleasant and I don't feel that they cared at all. We ordered food and wine on the patio in their covid-approved cafe area. They forgot about us. All others got their food and left. My hubby got up and asked a waiter/bus boy and he said sorry, your order got messed up. It's a Tuesday and there were maybe 5 tables at the most. They brought the food out a while later with no apology, no nothing. So angry at this point and disappointed with a place that

This is our favorite place on Seneca Lake, and possibly all of the Finger Lakes. The wine is fantastic, the service is typically very good, and the food is amazing. My wife and I were there twice during our trip last year, and made sure to go back yesterday when in the area celebrating our 20th anniversary. We were able to sit on the terrace, overlooking the vineyard and sunset after arriving an hour early for our reservation, which was unexpected and very nice.

Arrived at 3pm, not served dinner until almost 7. We had to put our own table cloth on the table. Hostess was very rude. Of 3.5 million views on Google. This is my first 1 star. Horrible experience.
Update: Ventosa did email me. Hopefully they make some operational changes to give you all a better experience. Food and wine is worth the visit.

Four stars for the tasting experience! The indoors isn't anything special - just one large bar - but the outdoors is breathtaking. Lots of tables with gorgeous views of the lake. We were very underwhelmed with the pizza (we got the toscana pizza and the garlic pizza - both way too cheesy and heavy) but the wine and atmosphere more than made up for it. Highly recommend! We ended up buying bottles of the 2017 Tocai Friulano, Vino Rosso, 2016 Dry Riesling, and 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon.
