Our 33 year old Grady White 228G Seafarer was in need of a complete overhaul as well as a re-powering in order to be a well found and safe vessel for our son and daughter-in-law to use. My wife and I also purchased an aluminum trailer for “Ariel” from Diamond Marine in addition to the many months it took to complete the extensive overhaul of all of the Grady’s components that could possibly fail while out on the high seas. Her outboard engine was upgraded from its original 34 year old 200 hp Yamaha to a newer 250 hp Evinrude. The Evinrude required some repairs but ultimately wound up running

My family recently got a boat that needed some work. Among other things, one of the the Mercury Optimax engines was not running. We started with getting work done at the local marina where the boat was kept. They thought worse case scenario they could get the engine working with a couple grand and a couple of weeks. They didn't know what was wrong with the engine, but basically started by just replacing random parts without any definite plan. After about 4k of sunk costs and 2 months of wasted time without any progress, we finally decided to move the boat to a Mercury dealer to see if they
