We have temporarily discontinued daily housekeeping for in-house guests, additional amenities will be provided.
Services
We are a cozy, family-run, 17-unit motel, fronted by a white picket fence. We are centrally located to explore all of L.A., just a minute from the closest bus stop, 2 miles from UCLA and 3.6 miles from Santa Monica State Beach. We have simply furnished, homey rooms (some with 1950s-style built-in cabinets and tile counters) and offer two cottages with kitchens.
Our location is what makes us such a superior choice in selecting a place to stay while in LA. Our central location gives you easy access to most any destination in Los Angeles - making it a quick drive to the beach, Hollywood or places in between. Plus, we have many great cafes, pubs, markets, spas and shops in easy walking distance.

I found this place on Booking.com. Stayed for two nights in January. Accommodations are bungalows. The place is for family and very attentive. Linens are spotless. Towels are upgraded. Service is very responsive. Wi-Fi not so great. I had to use my own hotspot. TV remote batteries were dead! This is something I think housekeeping could be checking. It would be nice if there was a coffee maker in each bungalow but Literati is a short walk.

The pics online are misleading. My daughter called it, the bait n switch motel. I read some of the reviews & wondered where these ppl stayed!? 🤔We were in room 17, maybe other rooms were better?
Def. a low budget motel. The best aspect, was the customer service, until we were checking out & the maid LITERALLY waited outside our door (w/attitude) 10 min. for us to leave. Before that, we were so grateful how fast they got us linens & toiletries & how nice they were. The security guard was awesome & helped us navigate the horrendous parking lot. One night we had 4 cars parked behind us & couldn

Not the fanciest place, but it was a good location for us. The bed was hard, but we slept surprisingly well. We did not need the provided ear plugs. We walked to the California Wok to pick up dinner and got coffee at Cafe Litterati in the morning. Parking was right next to our little cottage. CVS is right next door if you need to pick up something you forgot from home, like we did.

Wayyyyyy too expensive for a Motel ! Terrible Service! I was charged nearly 400 just for one night ! I was charged , checking out late just an hour later. If your going to have these type of prices for Motels at least have some type of perks. Had to call back and was refunded $40, I was told i was overcharged. Felt like me and my husband were stereotyped and racially profiled. Security guards literally live inside there cars on hawk mode right in the parking lot. Very small parking lot and Motel. Its understandable to some extent, but some guest do enjoy privacy. They were listening to every little

Pros: Comfortable beds. Clean. Affordable. Friendly staff. Great location! Cons: room maintenance (no table... I fixed the toilet myself because the chain in the tank came off twice, I paired the tv remote to the tv, and the fridge froze my food because it was turned up too high.). Small stuff that could be easily fixed. All in all recommended

I stayed here for one night, kind of last minute when a lot of other options were booked up. This place was clean and super affordable relative to nearby options. I didn't feel unsafe at any point during my stay, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to my late arrival and need to leave bags after checkout. I didn't explore the surrounds much since my trip was so short, but from what I could see tell there were plenty of things within walking distance. This place is certainly nothing fancy, and I don't think my room had central heating/cooling (had electric heater plugged

If your standards and expectations are low, you just MIGHT rate this place as adequate. Mine aren't, and I don't.
The reception was friendly, and the room clean. Bed quite comfortable, and sheets were clean. But there's no phone, no radio nor alarm clock, the room is small, and furnishings scant. Somewhat noisy. Shower DINKY. Parking a problem. Definitely disappointing overall!
My opinion: NOT worth the price paid. I won't be staying there again!

Found this place last minute because i didnt wanna sit on the 405 for 2 hrs only to do 29 miles LOL! I liked it. Stayed for 2 nights. Would have stayed 3 but was booked up. The place was clean. Friendly staff. Luckily i didnt need parking. Left my truck on jobsite and rode my e-board every day. Seemed kinda pricy but everything in that area is??? Motel 6 was $162 a night! I cant afford to do this all the time so i will prob just sleep at work and go home every couple of nights? Sounds like each cottage is different with its own personality. I had a good stay!

Okay I'm being kind with 3 stars, the people working there are super nice, and very friendly. But this place is old and dated. And my husband killed a small cockroach in the bathroom. When we first walked in our room it had a musty smell, which I equate with the place being old, but still not very appealing. It's kind of noisy being on Wilshire, but we were prepared for that part. We had looked at reviews and frankly for the money I've stayed at more updated (albeit simpler) places. I don't need super fancy, though I alway enjoy extras if available. But the shower was so small

I stayed in room 29 on January 24,2019. When I arrived I thought the room was very cute. Brandon is the manager at this motel and he was very kind. Although as a supervisor, he does not have the authority to bring a remedy to any issue that was brought to his attention. The issue with this particular room is this: The bed is old and extremely HARD. Therefore, I paid an exorbitant amount of money to simply take a shower in this room. I ultimately went out to my rental car and slept in the seat which was more comfortable than the bed. It is my opinion that this facility should have refunded half

This of course is not a five star motel. It is clean. It is super convenient as a base of operations to visit a broad swatch of LA County. The parking lot is very small and sometimes you have to move your car like a piece in a puzzle to fit in it. However, it's free. In addition when I was there a couple of months ago they had a nighttime guard at the entrance. Because of the busyness around it and the area, it's pretty safe. (However usual precautions should be taken; I wouldn't go out on a stroll at 2am.) The continental breakfast is very good by any standards. The rooms are nicely

Great little hidden location. Definitely recommend for a quick visit, or quick stay. 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants. The Cabin is very old school and outdated, but you can't beat the price and location! All the amenities you need definitely a cottage type of vibe. The parking is horrible, but again you cant beat the price and location !!! I would recommend they clean up their office a bit very unprofessional looking. Staff was friendly. Would recommend for a short stay!

UPDATE FOR 12/29/2017 - Julia was a little difficult to get on the phone to make a reservation, but as always, super helpful when I did. She mentioned she was surprised that the place wasn't busy at all the night or two before, NYE, but it could have been that people were just out of the LA Area.
I chose the Motel again, because all the other places close to Universal Studios were full and I couldn't get a space. It was perfect for one night with a child, large 1 bedroom, 2 beds and okay bath. This time there was a shower curtain and light, but still no long mirror. A bit cleaner

The good: super friendly staff, convenient & safe location, with free off-street parking and a decent array of breakfast items and some actually tasty coffee.
The bad: beds seem to be made of cardboard, paper thin walls, noisy A/C and road...worst of all was the fact that almost all cars (on a busy night) are double parked, which means that if you have to leave early, or are the last one in, you may be woken up at 6am to move your car (or need to wake others up to access your car). This is sub-optimal.
I enjoyed my stay, but the uncomfortable bed is a deal-breaker for me, and likely won

The GOOD - Great location, lots of stuff in walking distance, soft bed, continental breakfast has fresh bagels and pastries and manager was nice.
The BAD - Tight parking, if you are lucky to get a spot, dont move your car otherwise they get stacked up and blocked 2 - 3 cars deep, I was traveling alone and was told there was the perfect room for me. Well, I opened the door and it was a a full sized bed and two tiny nightstands and maybe 27" flat screen tv on the wall, bathroom was also mini sized everything. No place to sit but on the bed which stunk because I needed to do some work and

Me and my family have been staying here for years. I don't remember how we found the place but since our first day we have at least stayed here in 10 to 15 times.
It's amazing and an experience itself. Adorable cottage style rooms. Amenities were awesome. The rooms are clean well-kept the staff is incredibly friendly and sweet.
Our key wouldn't work on our door and they had a handyman down within literally 10 minutes to have everything fixed for us this last visit.
The continental breakfast isn't your average little cup of coffee with possibly some cereal. They have a whole
