The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting credit unions and the communities they serve with an emphasis on financial literacy, small credit union support, leadership development, professional development and education. The Fall/Winter issue of Potential, the CU Foundation MD|DC's newsletter is available for viewing!

The Foundation's annual Wine Me Up wine-pull event sets new records with more funds donated, highest proceeds, and the greatest number of bottles in the popular event. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives by helping credit unions better serve their members and communities with an emphasis on financial literacy, emerging credit union support, workforce development, professional development and education, and leadership development.
Do you have members who could use some help with college tuition? Well the Credit Union Foundation MD|DC college scholarship program makes it easy for you to help your college-bound members meet their tuition costs while strengthening your bond with those members. The $12,000 Credit Union College Scholarship Program is underway now!
The Credit Union Foundation creates improvements in people's lives by supporting efforts that enhance financial literacy and provide personal, affordable financial services. The Foundation provides grant funding to help credit unions initiate financial literacy projects throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.
To prepare more local credit unions to offer professional financial counseling for their members, the Foundation is offering, in cooperation with the MD|DC Credit Union Association, a comprehensive financial counselor training and certification offering. Registration for the 2020 Financial Counselor CUNA-certification program is now open.
Financial education is the premier core value of the Credit Union Movement and April is the perfect time for you to share your support for financial literacy with your members, staff, and the communities you serve. Celebrate Financial Literacy Month at your credit union and help support these important programs.
