The Delancey
In May of 2004, The Delancey opened its doors to a warm welcome from the lower east side. The three level club is home to a downstairs music venue, main level bar, and the only all weather rooftop garden of its kind peering out onto the Manhattan side of the Williamsburg Bridge. The 3 floors of The Delancey can either accommodate their own individual events, or join together to become one big party.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a long luxurious bar illuminated by a candlelit ceiling. Surrounding the bar are party spaces including a chandelier lined VIP room, elegant window room, and red velvet booths which are enveloped by silky drapes. These may be reserved on a nightly basis at no charge, and the space booked for each party is based on estimated number of guests in the party.
Services
The ROOFTOP GARDEN is available for group reservations, special events, and private parties, and open to guests year-round. The retractable roof and heating system allows for comfortable revelry rain or shine, Summer or Winter. The MAIN FLOOR is available for reservations to groups, as well as private parties and special events.
Located at 168 Delancey Street you will need to dress to impress to gain access into this 3-floor bar and lounge. But don't let that discourage your wallet. This bar is not greedy with their alcohol at all. Most people are too mesmerized by the intimate lighting and strong drinks on the first two floors but once you are in walk up the stairs and into the rooftop oasis with lush palm trees will make you feel like you are in a bungalow.

If I could give zero stars I would, the first time I went there the food was absolutely terrible none of us even ate it. Drinks were okay, the only thing good about it was 2 hour open bar package. Ive been calling this place everyday for the last two weeks to make a reservation and have been promised a call back every single day. Today I finally got through and the manager had the nerve to tell me they were booked. Played themselves because we were going to spend real money, not the $65 Plus tax & gratuity they turned us down for. Could never get my money ever again.

Rooftop was nice. Arrived early, no other patrons present. Would have been nice if finger foods were available. Requested menu, but wow different and limited compared to their posted online options.

It was packed with people even at 2am, music was loud, may be annoyingly so, depends on how many drinks you have, diverse crowd, decent music, may be packed but they do have a dance floor if you're so inclined to boogie, and if the music is right it may be tempting to do so. Expensive drinks like every bar in New York. So just be prepared to fork over a paycheck ok?

Awesome bar and live music venue! The staff were great, though it closed pretty early for a Thursday. Can't wait to go back and thanks to the venue for having me and my band play!

I usually don't review clubs, but we were in the area to check out a neighboring bar and we happened to discover this spot. We're glad we did.
The music was great! DJ seemed to have played all the best hip hop of New York artists. They had a rooftop as well, but it was overly crowded, so we just hung out at the downstairs part.
No cover that night. Would return!

Don't waste your time coming here for a night out. We bought tickets online for around $20 for girls and $30 for guys. When we got there, there was a massive line that stretched around the block with at least an hour or 90 min wait. They claimed to be at capacity, but when we got in eventually it was not full.

Getting in is another problem. Even though we bought tickets, when they scanned them they claimed they were invalid. We heard from numerous other people that they had this issue as well, so it felt almost as a scam. The only reason we got in was because the bouncer recognized me and

Attended a rooftop party there on Saturday for my birthday. The guy who took us to the bottle service area was definitely under the influence. The waitress was not bad. The flyer stated the party ended at 10 pm. They kicked us all out at 8:53. When we advised that was not what the flyer said they stated nah it’s 9.

I made reservations to have a graduation party for my brother on 7/31. I was told we would have 2 hours upstairs on the rooftop then we could go downstairs. However when I went there on 7/27 I was informed we would have to leave at 9pm, because there was a party that night. I was not told that, so they expected us to pay $80 a person for top shelf drinks for two hours (party of 11) but had to leave at 9pm on the dot. I should have been informed from the beginning.

Love the decor and ambiance of the rooftop. Two different world from downstairs. Went for brunch chicken abs waffles was disgusting, McDonald’s serves better nuggets. The hostess downstairs with burgundy hair is very rude, lacking social skills, gives misinformation with condescending tone. Told us to wait downstairs and someone will come get us to lead to rooftop for brunch. Waited 30 minutes till we asked security at entrance to rooftop, and he said we should’ve just went because waitress waits upstairs to seat ppl.

Nothing but good vibes at The Delancey. Came to this lounge with my husband and had a blast. Drinks are nice and strong definitely worth your bucks. I haven't tried the food. But I love the music and energy the bartenders had. They have a super cute roof top but (I had to minus one star) because I think it's ridiculous they force you to buy a $250 bottle Just to sit up stairs to then force you to order food. It's not worth a $250 bottle and the greeters trying to sell the $250 seemed very sketchy because first we was told $75 for a wrist band but then told $250 for a whole bottle

It was a no for me. I came here for brunch and I wished I would have managed my expectations because I was truly disappointed! We were the firsts guests to arrive for the 2pm brunch and once we sat down I realized the the DJ had at not arrived. Music is was being played but it was super low and not the vibe I was going for.

After sitting down, we placed our order. The menu says "bites" and they really mean it. I ended up with two measly chicken sliders and sweet potato hash. There should have been more substantial options as unlimited drinks were part of the package. They have a few

They make you order food just so you can get drinks, but the food is more expensive that should suppose to be, the food is overpriced and it's really awful. Plus I’m Mexican and trust me the “Mexican food” is not even close of real one they give you only ”chips” when they are charging you for the extra and is only a small side of guac or beef, also the drinks are not good my michelada is more tomato juice than the rest of the ingredients, the chips are old and the taste not good. So please if you are going to give me expensive food at least give good food. I do not recommend this at all

I was here for a gather event. This is one of the more popular rooftop bar they have in NYC.

They accept reservation and it can be made by directly calling them.

The only thing I was going to comment on is how cold it was at the rooftop and they have no heating lamps. Also the bathroom is downstairs where the indoor section is, which made it a little inconvenient . However the vibe and ambience made it a desire place to hang out with friends.

They have a full bar with a variety of alcohol selection. They serve light food like tacos etc.

Besides the food and drinks the music was awesome. However

I enjoyed this place a lot! Super cute vibe; large, open & airy upstairs area. Couches and comfy chairs spread about. Cocktails pricey @$14 a pop but typically city stuff when you're paying for a vibe. Got some Cuomo chicken slider sandwiches and they were pretty decent also. I would recommend this place as somewhere to go when you are looking for a cute vibe that's different than your typical bar atmosphere.

- Right by the Williamsburg bridge so it's further away from the popping bars on the LES
- The free glass of house champagne is only for weekdays
- 2 floors; first floor has louder music, dancefloor, second floor is the 'rooftop' that's not really outside but it's more quiet and you can actually chat
- There are plants everywhere that creates some privacy for the tables
- Not a big fan of the music, nothing to really dance to - obscure pop songs
- We got there around 10:30/11 and it was super empty. About 6-7 people on the dance-floor and everyone else was upstairs

I was in the Downstairs Lounge to see David's Pegasus. The show was fantastic and the venue was ok. But the bathroom was kind of nasty. It looked pretty fancy upstairs but so far i can really talk about the Downstairs Lounge only. The music was great... so, i will come back anyway.

A nice 2 story place. The upstairs kind of gives me a nice club house kind of feel. It has a lot of space and is great for an event. It has full liquor on both floors and lot of options for the venue you can customize for an event.
