Services
Lakeside Neurologic was founded in an effort to provide high quality, clinically relevant, and cost-effective brain injury rehabilitation and support living services. All patients should be given an opportunity for early intervention in medical rehabilitation. All patients' treatment goals are aimed at achieving the maximum level of functional independence in the least restrictive medical environment.
All clinical/medical positions require a current State of Florida license or eligibility, appropriate professional certification, and must be 21 years of age or older. Two to five years on the job experience in the field of Brain Injury Rehabilitation is preferred, but not required. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and drug-free workplace.
The Skilled Medical Rehabilitation Center at Lakeside Neurologic, (SMRC) is designed to treat individuals 16 years of age and older with brain and neurologic injuries who are no longer in need of acute hospital care, but continue to be medically dependent. Lakeside Neurologic has been the foundation of our continuum of care since its inception in 1992.
The Pediatric Rehabilitation and Accredited Education Program of Lakeside Neurologic specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with traumatic brain injury, neurologic injury, and neuropsychiatric disorders. Lakeside serves children and adolescents ages 4 to 17 with varying degrees of impairment, diagnosis, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
Survivors of traumatic brain injury or neurologic injury and individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders are referred on a national level. Patients are qualified for admission individually on a clinical, medical and financial basis. Family members and other concerned parties are encouraged to tour the program prior to admission in order to make informed placement decisions.

This place must be closed, the administration are the worst and doesn't really care about patients. They have a patient with covid-19 and they don't have any protocols for that. They put all the personal in risk with that patient to made a epidemic there. They aren't really thinking and care about anyone's health. So if u have love ones there get them out of this place.

This Place is horrible. There under staffed and does not keep the patients family notified about things. My father was a patient here recently but was pronounced dead on Thanksgiving morning with no explanation. Prior to his deaths we received a call from the staff staying the nurse and RTwas in his room to change and clean him up . RT had left out of the room to grab gloves (all rooms are equipped with gloves) by the time she returned he was turning blue and had no pulse. We were told an investigation was opened only to find out one of the nurses was lying in his charts about giving him his meds
