The dragonfly represents many of the characteristics of what recovery looks like. The qualities of the dragonfly help people in recovery regain a sense of self that is not connected to a mental illness diagnosis and helps us to not self-stigmatize or place stigmas on others. The dragonfly reminds us to take positive risks in order to move forward and on with living.
