Everything worked as we planned and my crazy head imagined it to be (including the restrooms!) Food was incredible, The bar was perfect. The venue and space gave that right balance between a mingling event and a dance party.

I came here for an event recently and I must say, the staff here are genuinely sweet and accommodating. They care about their space and want you to know that, demonstrating by their actions.
I liked the minimalist feel, very industrial so that you could fill the place with whatever you desire.
The bathrooms too were well stocked with your toiletriee-needz ;) everything clean and smelling great.
Even the cooks and bakers were nice!
Hope to come to another event here soon!

The Village is the new home of the StartUp Health festival so maybe I'm a little bias but I could not be more impressed with this space! It's versatile and full of character. There's three floors of space to build out the branded experience of your dreams. The super wide video on the main floor is out of this world. I'd highly recommend looking into having your next event here!

Horrible awful experience every time. I get tricked into going to events here- they have great headliners with a "secret location" to be announced after I buy the tickets. I end up having to leave within 20 min of the event because the sound system is so poor, you cant hear the music if you're 20 ft back from the DJ. I've been scared off any events with a "secret location". They're greedy to oversell tickets and pack the room full of people without a decent sound system. Crooks.

We recently held a private corporate evening event at The Village and it was a huge success! The staff was amazing, the venue is top notch and the the overall atmosphere is spot on. There were lots of opportunities for branding and their in-house audio visual technology was state of the art. This has definitely become a preferred venue for us and we look forward to hosting many more events here. PS - Ask for Jeanavive! She's fantastic.

Okay, this place is so obnoxiously loud. Do you realize there is an apartment complex next to you? Not to be a Debbie downer but when people in our building can't sleep because you decided to throw concerts until two am almost every night, you have a problem. We attended two events here also and it was such a safety hazard. People were packed in there, couldn't even walk without bumping into people. The only cool thing was that we got to see Duke Dumont and Lil Dickey for free because the village felt bad for screwing the Wilson residents over every night and gave us all free drink tickets

Wish I had better things to say about the village, especially since I really liked how the layout of the place looked once I first entered the venue. My friends and I came here to see Duke Dumont's show in December. When we first arrived, the staff seemed to be spread out to help anyone in need of it, and overall, the place looked clean... this all immediately became overshadowed when more attendees of the event arrived...
As I think about it, I can see how the organization that put together the event and rented out the venue was at fault for how many tickets were actually sold for the event

The worst club in downtown San Francisco. I've been here twice now to give it a fair chance and both times have been horrible for different reasons.
The first time they promoted the event as "free drinks" with the purchase of a $35 ticket. Upon arriving it became clear this was a con. There was two bar tenders for hundreds of attendee's. My group waited for 75 minutes and then right when we got to the front they told us that the free drinks were no longer available. Talk about an epic bait and switch.
The second time they sold tickets to Duke Dumont for $50 each. After waiting

I attended a holiday party here. The venue and the caterer is important for any fun party, and I'm going to admit I was pretty disappointed.
The venue is split into three different floors, which makes it awkward to mingle as you're constantly going up and down stairs to find people. The coat check is on one floor, photo taking is on another... it's a bit too much work to do what you want to do when you have heels on.
The food was pretty bad. Not very many options, and the options that were there were tiny and not very exciting.
Overall, would not recommend.

I've been to the village for both it's purposes: nightclub / evening party and networking event space. While the networking event space was actually outstanding (Vidyard conference), it's stars were set far back by my most recent experience at The Village.
This venue has hosted a few evening events that cater to deep house music followers (i.e. Nora en Pure, Rufus du Sol). During both occasions, the volume of the music was so low that I would have preferred to listen to a set in the comfort of my own home on headphones. During the Rufus du Sol set (charity event), the crowd was

Came here for a Salesforce event that we threw and felt that the space was a bit small, especially the lower level. The lighting also was very dark so I felt like that was hard for those to get around when it got crowded there. Overall, decent space - but we need to go larger next conference. It is nicely across from the Warfield where we threw the other half of event. Be careful on these streets though, lots of crazies out there.

I came here for an Erica Badoo dj set. The atmosphere felt rustic and classy (it was however pretty dark so perhaps thats not an accurate perception). The bartenders were incredibly sweet. The bouncers were approachable and respectful. One employee chatted with me afterwords and gave me a brief overview of this venue which I thought was sweet. I will defiantly be back to explore other events they have.

Had the pleasure of using this space to host a vendor showcase for event professionals recently, and was pleased with how versatile the space is.
The space has a nice, open floor plan. We were able to put our showcase on the top floor, and host a lunch for 180 on the ground floor. Didn't get to utilize the bar downstairs, but it's there and pretty awesome looking. Also didn't get to utilize their in-house A/V team, but I did get to chat with a couple members, and they were super helpful with the team we brought in.
The space does have an industrial vibe with it's metal beams

Beautiful venue in a great location. Each of the three levels are large and airy, and have the potential to be transformed into any event desired. I've seen several events in this location and each time it's wonderful to see the space utilized in so many different ways.
The staff was very helpful during our event. As a local nonprofit, we normally would not be able to afford the deposit for an event in this venue, but The Village worked with us and helped donate the perfect space for our holiday party. Shaina was very helpful up until the last hectic minutes.

I liked this place. Very modern and a good size - if the host manages to stick to the capacity limits.
3 floors which includes a basement for a more club/lounge type of feel. The layout was ok, and definitely geared more towards smaller company offsites or art displays. It was kind of crowded at the beginning of the event that we attended but thinned out and was a lot more enjoyable after about an hour. Not too far from the Powell BART stop (which I'd recommend using) instead of Civic Center.
