Went there for a recent gala event. The place is huge, classical, and amazing inside. The location is great in SF and every time we go there, we have a good time no matter what event it is. You can be sure attending an event at the JMB, it will be classy upscale people every time.

Amazing place! As a Bay Area Wedding Photographer that's seen his share of venue, nothing ranks as high as The Julia Morgan Ballroom in it's decor. Deep, rich woods. To my understanding, the ceiling and a lot of the decor came from the decor that was firstly installed at Hurst Castle in San Simion. Amazing place to get married.

The Julian Morgan Ballroom is located inside the Merchant Exchange building. The building itself was build in 1905 and is one of the few buildings that survived the big fires in San Francisco - therefore, a really historic building. The lobby itself is already worth a visit. You can just walk in and appreciate the very high ceilings, the uniquely designed elevators and the sculptures on the walls of important people of San Francisco.
Once you go up to the 15th floor to the Julian Morgan Ballroom, you find one of the most beautiful event locations in the city. There are big windows, a lot of dark

Great event space. I work for a non profit and they hold their main fundraiser here each year. The ambiance is old school dark wood. The location of the bars is perfect. The way space is broken down for larger and smaller groups to hang at the same time was very beneficial. Elevator drops you right into the lobby for ushering guest into either the larger room or smaller rooms. Bathrooms are very modern and clean. The access for food service is out of the way and never in the way. The main ballroom is a great space. Totally open and the ability to put a stage etc where you want is easy. The staff

One word - spectacular!
We had our wedding at this venue. This was a Hindu wedding on a weekday with a relatively small party of 60 guests. And everything was just spectacular. Right from the very first email to the time we left happily married. Lillian and Elexis helped us plan everything within our budget, accommodated our special needs without a single glitch, and made our day absolutely memorable. They helped us think through the myriad details that go into planning a wedding. Without us even asking. Things went very smoothly on the day. Our guests were mesmerized by how gorgeous and elegant

Beautiful ballroom! My friend got married here and the wedding was beautiful! Acoustics were perfect, seating was ample, and the view of downtown SF was classy. Food servers and barman were very professional. If you can afford it, this ballroom will be yours and you wont regret it.

I had the pleasure of attending to amazing holiday parties here. Fantastic location on California Street (I stayed at the Omni Hotel which is only a block away) and also plenty of parking garages nearby. Fabulous woodwork in the ballroom and worked out especially well with multiple food stations, a dance floor, and seating for 200+ with room to spare. The separate bar and the beautiful fireplace area work out great for cocktail hour.
