Services
In 1983, under the vision of the former Pastor Donald McFarren, Metuchen Assembly of God opened DaySpring Child Care Center. His son, Rev. Gregory McFarren oversaw the building project that was completed in 2008, where our beautiful and spacious facility for DaySpring resides. DaySpring houses a "state of the art" gymnasium, full kitchen facilities, and a playground located on our grounds that accommodates each of our age groups.
DaySpring Child Care Center employs a Center Director who is state certified and oversees the entire program. Our teachers are also state certified and have numerous years of experience teaching young children. Our assistant teachers are carefully selected for their loving attitudes, and professionalism in the classroom.

Language Arts - In our 2 1/2 - 3 year old program, children will recognize the names, sounds, and pictures for short vowel consonants. Children will learn how to form the vowels and consonants in both upper and lower cases. Their language will be developed along with their listening skills which will include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners, and science.
The children are introduced to a loving God, who cares about them and their family. They will learn about stories from the Old and New Testament as well as through songs, nursery rhymes and prayer time. The children will be introduced to Bible heroes such as David, Daniel and Moses. From December to June our focus will be the birth of Christ, His death and the Resurrection.

Dayspring is a gem in Metuchen! The nurturing atmosphere and solid academic foundation Dayspring provides has allowed my daughters to thrive. I was amazed by the number and quality of activities my daughters participated in at 2 years old and blown away by the time my eldest was reading sight words, 3-4 letter words and a solid understanding of basic science principals in pre-K. The teachers and staff do an incredible job of building a relationship with each student, I also love the amount of indoor and outdoor recreation space for the kids. Best of all my daughters love Dayspring and look forward

Have 3 children that attended this school. All started as 2.5 yrs. 2 of them are at MCA now (grammar school associated with Dayspring). It's a great preschool. Teachers are friendly and loving. Cirrculum is excellent. My boys started reading in pre-k. Can't say enough good things. It's a warm, family environment and you know your children are in good hands.

As parents it was difficult to choose the best location. We wanted a place that would be safe, educational, and close to home. We found what we were looking for and more! Our son is being cared for by people that truly care about him and want to see him succeed in life. We love to hear daily about the things that he is experiencing and learning. We appreciate that the teachers are actually teaching. The schedule time is great. It gives me the flexibility with my work plus all the teachers are compassionate and caring about each individual child. They also have several activities for each holiday

As parents, we recommend Dayspring Christian Academy without reservation. We were looking for child care that provided a safe, loving, environment combined with academic rigor. That is what our twins received, along with an extended family. The children learn in a respectful, loving environment conducive to learning, evident by the student work displayed in the hallways, and the classroom work that came home each day. There is a daily schedule that incorporates center work, combined with individual work, where the teacher and/or aid provides help, if needed.

A little slice of Heaven! Would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone who lives within 20 minutes from here. As our home is 20 minutes away (Woodbridge) but after looking high and low this place was a God send! We were living out in Hillsborough area and feel bad our son was going to another school that was no where near as good as this place. This place is safe and professionally run across the board. Very clean, and did I say very clean! They provide hot meals everyday for a nominal fee of $3.
The other places I saw were a fading shadow of this place. Believe me I did not want to travel
