I can't say enough good things about the Velo. I started taking my fixed gear bike to them during the beginning of the pandemic when I wanted to get a tune up and upgrade some parts. At first I kept going back for parts & install because I usually had the best luck getting appointments. At that time appointments were being booked a week out or more. We want to rave about our experience with Velo! Jason, Aaron, and Justin are AMAZING. My son has been searching for a Scott bike for MONTHS! We happened to be in town for a couple days for a bike camp and he saw an Instagram post from Velo. It was the bike he wanted. I encouraged him to call- so he did- turns out it was a large (his size) in the color he wanted. He called at 12. We got to bike shop at 12:30. And walked out with the bike and new shoes (on sale BTW) by 3 pm! All of the staff was so amazing. These guys are smart, helpful, and kind!

Just wanted to thank, and recommend, Velo Bike. I just purchased a “garage sale quality” bike and brought it in for a new saddle and brake installation, which employee Ramon did quickly, efficiently, professionally. THEN, I had a chain problem and brought it back, about 2 hours later — and they did the chain tightening, and wheel tightening quickly, and with no charge. Picture of bike is here…run-down, but still rolling, and they were gracious about fixing it, and generous, as noted. Velo is clearly a great choice for bike work, and I really appreciate what they did.

The best staff, value , worth driving all the way from Scottsdale to Velo Bike Shop, all was done in 10 minutes while I was waiting, bringing them two more bikes for repair, special gratitude to Tommy , nick name (MacToob} he was wonderful, thanks for all.

This is the third time I've taken my E-bike to be serviced there. Tommy did a great job, I know these bikes aren't easy to work on, but he even said to make sure he works on it next time which made me feel welcome back. Thanks Tommy.

Solid group of dudes working there when I was in. Very friendly and helpful, answered many questions and explained the work that needed to be done. Nate took care of me and went the extra mile to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed to get my new tires on the road.

As my biking experience continues-my first round of upgrades on my bike were done today. After seven months of riding my Cannondale gravel bike I bought from Velo-it was time to add a few upgrades. Jayse and Nick were beyond fantastic helping me make the BEST decisions on what was the pathway for me. They got the work done and my test spin at the shop was superb. Love this place-they get to know you and your biking and help with great advice. Friends take friends to The Velo! This team has your back.

Waited over a month from the time of my experience to write this review. Wanted to let the experience settle and revisit how terrible customers are treated here with a clear head. And so here's what I have to say: I don't recall a time I've had worse customer service anywhere, for anything.

Been to most, if not all, bike shops in the valley and there are so many great spots! Help support your local bike shop, but not this one!

Friends don't let friends go to The Velo!

They are very nice and helpful. I bought my first pair of biking shoes and locking pedals here and Nick was very helpful. He taught me how to use them and he even held up the bike for me while I practiced clipping and unclipping the shoes to the pedals. He put the pedals on for me and even did a quick check of the bike. Thanks to his quick lesson I was able to ride home safely and easily.

Truly great shop. I’ve been in a few times and the employees are soooo helpful. They even helped me seat the bead on my tubeless tires because I didn’t have a compressor at home. Very knowledgeable on quality components and always happy to give you their recommendation with no sales pressure. My go-to for any future bike needs.

I decided to get back into biking so I took my rusty old bike to The Velo and that decision was one of the best I've made. I go in and tell them to just make my bike as good as new and that's what they did. It rides a lot better than what it did a few years ago when I first bought it. Also I bought a phone mount from these guys and totally forgot about it while I was in the shop. I came back the next day and here is a bag with my name on it with the phone mount plus a free hat. These guys were great I highly recommend, the best bike gang in Phoenix.

This is a must do Group Ride in the Valley. Departure from The Velo. Check time, changes seasonally. Ride up Central Avenue to South Mountain Park. Ride to the top at the Towers! Regroup at the Summit and again at the bathrooms. Bunch Ride again North on Central back to The Velo. Return pace can be Spirited! Donuts provided. Coffee, Cambucha and other refreshments available for purchase in the Coffee shop. Allways a Great Time! You get back what you put in to it!

Everyone I’ve talked to or worked with here have just been amazing!! Super friendly, very helpful! Makes you feel really important from the moment you walk in. It’s little things like the effort they take to know your name. The second time I walked in the shop (after just browsing the first), they greeted me by name! I love how they took the time to go over all my options and got me setup with my dream bike!! I really appreciate how meticulous they are as well- when my bike came from the factory, they could’ve easily slapped it together and walked it out the door, but they went through and

Disappointing. This was my first time to this bike shop and I truly feel that they don't want my business. I dropped my bike off on a Monday for a tune-up prior to the Tour de Mesa. I was told it would be ready by Thursday. I called Thursday afternoon and was told that they hadn't looked at it yet; they'd been too busy with a triathlon team. I went in person the following afternoon and was told again, that they hadn't looked at it - that they would do the work and give me a call. I know I'm not a member of a tri-team or a pro rider but that's just poor customer service

BACKGROUND

Once I got the bike home, I realized that my bike lock mount was cracked and wouldn't hold my current lock. When I was checking out the coffee shop Bicycle Normad, I found The Velo.

I took the opportunity to purchase the newest and greatest bike lock. The bike lock is lighter weight and has a double protection anti-theft protection, which I thought was awesome.

From the first time I set foot in the Velo I felt like an old friend, the customer service here is really outstanding. I purchased a bike from the Velo in November. Recently I brought the bike in for service, upon inspection I found out I needed a part that was backordered. The Velo's response was to loan me one of their premium demo bike, I was blown away.

I live in Southern California. I wanted a 2017 Giant TCR. Every -- and I mean EVERY Giant-affiliated shop in Southern California couldn't get a hold of this bike in the color and size I wanted. In fact, even Giant themselves told me I'd be hard-pressed to still find this bike, with the 2018 models just about ready to go.

Looked on Giant's website, and only The Velo still had my TCR. I called, and sure enough, it was still on the floor. I swooped in and paid for that like TCRs were going away tomorrow. They shipped it out to me, and I'm beyond stoked. They had packed up all

Attended a "Get your PHX" & Local First Event here. Was totally blown away by the Shop, the Staff, and the Location of this new business in the heart of the new Art District. Oh, didn't you know we have one? One really cool and growing Art District . . .with small galleries, local bars and breakfast restaurants, theaters, farmers markets, and . . .a one-of-a kind bike shop!

This is a bike shop like no other. You will be amazed. Classy, fun, and very comfortable. Honestly, I did not want to leave! And the kicker...I am not an avid biker!!

First ...the bikes! The obvious draw. This is run by some SERIOUS bike dudes...they know their spokes and wheels and chains stuff. They will dig as deep as you need to go...road, dirt, grandmas and back. Whatever you need! Ask to see the secret room with the very, very serious bikes! Shhh!
