I was in here at opening time to look for bike seats on a regular Tuesday and no one greeted me nor offered their assistance. There were two customers in the store at the time, but it was obvious when I walked in so a, "HELLO, let me know if you need any help!" could have easily been said. There wasn't much of a selection anyway. Even if I saw something to buy, I'd have to think if I'd want to spend my hard-earned money there. I still have "old-fashioned" values where store employees greet customers and ask if they need help within a timely fashion of entering

In the beginning of summer, I really wanted to get a bicycle. The lockdown was driving me nuts and I wanted to find more outdoor things to do to keep me occupied. I wanted a bike. I had a bike. It was old and hadn't been ridden in over five years. There was a bunch of rust on it, and the chain was pretty rusted as well. I thought there was no way in hell that I would be able to revive that bike, so I thought I'd look for a new one. After searching online for hours on end, I came up with nothing. Huge bike shortage. Was looking for a specific model Trek bike, and called 5-6 stores in the area and none of them had it in stock. Called Bumsteads Bicycles 30 minutes before closing and they had it in stock! MY FELLOW BIKERS!!!! THIS IS THEEE PERFECT PLACE TO GET your BIKE NEEDS!!; GREAT FAST FRIENDLY SERVICE!! ADD to that INEXPENSIVE!!!! WOWWWW..Personnel are BEYOND HELPFUL..You don't even have to wait a HORRENDOUS TIME for simple things as adjustment of Brakes and other little things,like shopping ,.. . Also other places are taking WEEKS if your bike goes in for service like tune-up..and here at BUMSTEADS it could probably be a week ,SO ILL TAKE that because the road is waiting for my Bike and I need to be out riding it.. Especially with everything else that's happening in our world!

Good Customer Service. Ok prices for service. You get what you pay for, so the quality work isn't going to be found at this shop. Also they don't have a lot accessibility on parts. I was fooled by the 5 star reviews and came here for service and found out this shop isn't going to offer 5 star service.

I don't know much about bikes so when my sisters youth bike something came off regarding the brakes and it seemed liked it was going to be replaced the gentleman just said let me take a look and put it back together without any charge. Other places they could've taken it to the back and charged me 40 dollars but he didn't.. I left the bike to change the chains so honestly I can say without a doubt I trust what they are doing !!

Drove to Ontario Mills and stopped by Bumstead's after checking out bike shops nearby via Yelp.
I live in Glendale and have gone to a couple of local bike shops for bottom bracket upgrade. The people here in Glendale were not straightforward to deal with as they tried to sell me things that I did not need. They also wanted me to bring my bike to their store so they can install the part for me and of course, for an extra fee!
The nice gentleman who helped me at Bumstead's today was so easy to deal with. He did not haggle and he even gave he helpful advice on how to upgrade

As an Ontario native, I've always known of Bumstead's and that it's a timeless store in the area. However, I never had a need to go until last week! I decided to finally put my bike (Huffy Helios 21-speed mtn bike) to use, but the bike wasn't shifting properly (hardly at all) so I took it in on Tuesday. Due to Coronavirus shutdown they are understandably backed up, so I went to pick up my bike today (a week later) and it's good to go. Very fair pricing, good quality work, and they get the job done even under pressure and over Memorial Day weekend. Thanks, I will gladly

Great experience buying 2 bikes for me and the wife. When a small business has been in business this long its not by accident. Lloyd runs the business the way I wish all would. In a word perfection. All I can say is amazing from start to finish. My son is off to college and in need of a bicycle because there are no vehicles allowed on campus it's a bike only campus so we start to look for bike shops from Los Angeles to San Bernardino county walked in to a couple wasn't really thrilled about the price or the service some places didn't even acknowledge that we were shopping and we were just ignored I won't mention names of stores but after reading yelp reviews all the negative and one star reviews were right on point. Best bike shop ive been in years. Came in today 1/27/2018 just to look around. I didnt except to walk out with a bike:D. Used but so cute. I didnt get the guys name but he was so helpful and knew what he was talking about. He gave me diffrent options to look at. Saw 1 and instantly fell in love. The basket and size sold me. Haaaa!!!!! The yelp reviews do help. This one is deffently one ro invest your money in. I will be back for another bike. Thank you guys so much. The ride back home was so much fun. I Had an appointment for an oil change at metro Honda and took my bike out for a spin mean while and ended up with two flats , like wow right ! Looking at google and found Bumstead's and I was waiting till opening and met a rider out side and had nothing but positive vibes about this place and sure thing the gates opened up and customer service was on point . Great prices especially for lacing up hubs and ended up leaving with tires . The quality of there installation is perfect and coast of labor is set so riders keep coming back.

This truly feels like a business that has been family owned for the past century, which it is. Don't be dissuaded by their relatively small bike inventory. It'll come in a day or two. Best customer service I've received anywhere during 15+ years as a cyclist, from the calm, non-pushy purchase of a bike, to the absurd lengths Lloyd will go to to get make repairs in time for that big ride on Saturday, at the best price.
