Amazing local sushi joint! Been there 2 times and had great service and food. You have to try the Dragon Ball and tuna tataki apps!! Rolls are tasty and well prepared. Good quality sea food and all ingredients are well balanced. Even their fried rice is the “good kind” (you know why I mean). Def will be a regular.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN THE AREA!
If you're looking for the BEST and freshest sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place! Given we're in a landlocked state, expecting fresh fish is not always reasonable. Ichiban flies in their fish fresh from Canada, and it MELTS in your mouth the way good sushi should.
They have a 1/2 off menu, where the Honey Bee roll is the king. Fresh fish and the honey mayo is delicious!
Items on their non-1/2 off menu is where things get really good. Our favorite is the scallop roll.
Service here is fantastic! Yuri always

Within the last few months I've been exploring the sushi restaurants around the Westchester/Mason area. With Ichiban being such a convenient location for me I will say I'm very disappointed and not only the quality of the fish but also the apparent poor management of the restaurant itself.
Upon entering the restaurant everything seemed very well designed. Knowing that before I went in to the restaurant that this was a pizza parlor just a few years before, I can commend the owners of Ichiban on utilizing the space provided very well. The restaurant itself seem very spacious and The setting

Great consistent sushi restaurant. Since the pandemic, my family and I have been ordering take out from Ichiban and are never disappointed. The rolls are tasty, albeit larger and more filling than traditional sushi (they have an American spin to them). Their hot dishes/entrées are very tasty as well. The restaurant itself has nice outdoor seating and a sizable indoor area.

Fun fact: I'm not the biggest fan of the Ichiban in Mt. Lookout. Their service is slow and their food is only adequate. If I feel that way, why did I choose to visit their Mason location? It was a matter of convenience, really. I was in the area and wanted sushi, and decided to give their other restaurant a shot.
This Ichiban is located in a strip mall on the corner of Snider & Tylersville. The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than it looks and can accommodate large parties.
The first time I went, I was seated promptly with a friend and we dove into the menu. My friend recently

Let's talk sushi I happened upon ichiban by accident today and it's a decision I will never regret because I think I stumbled onto some of the best sushi in Cincinnati. We tried the spicy yellowtail, aac, and crunch rolls and they were delicious! But let's not stop there. The ambiance was casual and cozy- perfect for a nice family dinner or a casual evening bite with friends- and the sushi specials sometimes came with smoking glasses to keep the seafood cold and fresh. Gorgeous presentation!
That being said if you're coming for great Japanese food that isn't sushi, there

This place is amazing! I have tried several places in the area and this is the best. The sushi is good,, the Ramen is good, it is all good.
The staff is super friendly and helpful too. I have been there for lunch and dinner. Solo, with family or a large group they are always very accommodating and quick.
The lunch special is 3 rolls, soup and salad for $11. Hard to beat that. Try the place for lunch and you will go back.

Ichiban now commands the space of the old West Shore Pizza on Tylersville Road. What an upgrade!
The staff greet you and welcome you into a calming space, where booths allow for quiet conversation and a truly enjoyable date night. The menu is flexible, with plenty of sushi and sashimi options for a sushi newbie to make fantastic discoveries. For the regular, the Maki menu and the half priced options enable one to be a "regular" and not break the bank.
Digging into the sushi scene in Cincinnati, a few places quickly rise above the others. Some are gorgeous, with tatami rooms and higher prices

Last time I went it was the worst sushi I've had anywhere in Cincinnati. Not sure what occurred. The week prior it was very good (3.5 stars or more). The fish this time was not fresh, smelled and the sushi chef made rolls with fish that still had slimy skin and brown sections that should have been trimmed. I actually sent it back and the simple removes from the bill with no real acknowledgement. Unfortunately, I can't look past unfresh fish at a place that sells raw fish.

I've always been a big fan of the Ichiban in Mt. Lookout, so when I found out they opened a new location in Mason, I was so excited! They have a lunch special where for $6.75 you can get 2 rolls, miso soup and a side salad or for $3 more you can add an extra roll to the special!
I tried the spicy shrimp and California and they were great! I can't wait to go back here with co-workers during lunch! There is plenty of seating for large parties too, which makes it nice during the lunch rush.

This is easily one of my favorite sushi places I've been to in the Cincinnati area. For one, the restaurant is very clean and peaceful and you can enjoy your meal without having to sit super close to other tables and guests.
We went for lunch and the service was fast and friendly. They started to get a bit busier around 12pm for lunch. They had a great lunch special- 3 sushi rolls, salad and miso soup for $9.75 ( or 2 rolls for $6.75).
I ordered 2 California rolls and a Shrimp Tempura roll and they were delicious. We waited maybe 5-7 minutes between the time we ordered until our food came

I love Ichiban sushi in Hyde Park location. unfortunately, it is pretty far from West Chester. For my surprise they opened new location here on Tylersville Rd. Yay ! So exited :)
Their food is definitely delicious! And the best part.... they have a whole list of vegetarian sushi !
Highly recommend this place

We enjoyed 4 rolls, seaweed salad, and green bean fries. The service cadence was timed well between our salad and fries and rolls. All orders came out correct, even with a special request on one roll. While the rolls were very tasty, it's just not west coast sushi, something that can't be found nearby. However, I did leave perfectly happy!

First visit, we wanted to order the same things we get at our normal sushi spot (Dancing Roll) to compare. Definitely worth the visit! The rolls are half price all day, good variety, fresh and good quality! Such important factors in a sushi meal.
Miso soup - $3, typical flavorful broth, not worth paying extra
Rainbow roll - fresh quality fish, about 8 pieces, sweet crab
Spicy yellowtail roll - a couple bucks? Also good quality, flavorful, yum yum sauce, not spicy
Ramen - I prefer the spicy Korean-style ramen from Dancing Roll, but this ramen is still good! Japanese style with pork and mushroom
