Fall Registration for 2021 - 2022 school year has begun, check our Enrollment Info for information and registration form. Established in 1980, Green Twig's first priority has been, and always will be, to provide a nurturing and safe environment for your children. Our program will provide the foundation for your child's future. We achieve this through cultivating their social and emotional needs, as well as creating a personal academic program.
Services
Green Twig's first priority is to provide a caring, safe, and supportive environment. It is filled with materials and events that have relevance to the child's realm of experience; concrete, not in any way abstract. It will serve as a foundation for the development, expansion and extension of thought processes.
Learning in a "sequential order" is necessary to develop important abilities such as communication and cooperation with each other. Our classrooms are designed for the sequential needs and development of the child. We evaluate the needs of each child and select the appropriate educational games and experiences for them.
Prevention is the key, and we mean to keep our children healthy. We want to comfort you in knowing that our high standards of hygiene remain intact to make sure you and your family are safe at all times. Please remember to practice hand-washing at home! Green Twig will use state-mandated alcohol-based hand sanitizer of 70%.
Many of Green Twig's teachers and assistants have been part of our family for at least 10 years or longer. All of our head teachers are fully certified, and many of our assistants also hold certification. Our teachers possess an excellent overall scope and sequence of child development and design the classroom and program for their students.
Your child will experience, in your own home, the same great personalized instruction we are known for. Our teachers will select academic games and activities specific to your child as well as prepare crafts and papers. All these items are sanitized and packed in a container, Edutainer, for weekly pick up.

The owner knows every kid's name and addresses them each in a way that makes them feel special and important. When I visited the school, the owner took a lot of time showing me all the different types of activities and what skill each exercise is trying to achieve. And they rotate all the activities and stations very periodically so it is always fresh and new and the kids don't memorize the answers or get bored. I

My experience at this school was many years ago, however, receiving advertising from them today spurs me to review and warn parents. This was a horrible environment- montessori learning tools but in a rigid, stifling program. My son was punished for creativity. Visiting the school I found 16 identical everything- no child was allowed to invent or create or think. I met with the director and she went off on an irrelevant rant about her own child- who was already an adult at the time, with no real grasp of what was happening in the classroom or playground. There are real montessori schools in
