Cycle Path is a long-standing bike shop with great staff. Even with the closure of two other bike shops in 2020-2021, they continue to give great service. On two occasions this past year, I needed to replace a part on a bike (chainring and pedals). They paused the work they were already doing and had me set in 15 minutes.

I love this shop! I was about to hit the trails at Bailey’s and adjusted my seat height quickly before heading out. As I did this, the bolt that tightens my seat post became stripped and wouldn’t hold my saddle height. I headed to Cycle Path Bicycles who fixed me up in 5 minutes and I only lost 30 minutes of riding on the day. After driving from Columbus just to ride Bailey’s, this bike shop saved my day!

Dropping in to give major "kudos" and a "ride on" to the amazing team at Cycle Path Bicycles. Whether its been purchasing a new bike or having repair or maintenance work completed, their staff has been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The repair and maintenance work they've completed on my bikes has always been priced fairly of the highest quality. We're lucky to have such a fantastic cycle shop and team of experts here in Athens!!

The most underrated Bike Shop in town. Cant give it 11 stars or I would. Honestly this bike shop was not one of my regular stops just because I am not uptown much and when I am ints on on my bike. In light of two other bike shops closing I had to bring my bike in for repair. I wanted to take on the installation myself however once I got in there I realized I was in way over my head. I was told that the repair would be a week however, they only took two days. This is a great turn around time especially considering they are taking on the work load of two other shops and during the national health

I decided to buy my new road bike locally at Cycle Path and have felt like a valued customer since. There were some repairs that needed attention after 4 months of hard riding. John and his team found that everything was covered by warranty, and they took care of my bike, complete with a wash/wax, and the paperwork. It's obvious that this shop's first priority is keeping this community on two wheels. I'm a customer for life.

I went in looking to replace my rear hub due to an issue I was having. After they gave me an estimate they realized that there was another way to solve the problem that saved me a ton of money! They could have just done the repair we went in for, but in the end they came up with a better, cheaper, solution. Definitely recommend. A+ service.

This place is an Athens' institution.
Before I moved here 13 years ago, friends (who had raced in Athens) told me about this really cool bike shop with hardwood floors and a "museum feel" on the inside (look at the upper shelves in the sales room). And just as they promised, Cycle Path did not disappoint - it has a true bike shop feel (and oh how it feels good!).
With friendly and knowledge staff, Maxine and John provide a great bike shop experience. Their prices are fair and their work is of quality. I would recommend this store to any bicycling enthusiasts.

I took my bike here asking for the most basic tune up possible, I had no major issues with my bike and I just wanted it working nicer. When I dropped it off, they told me it would be about $50 at most. It took two days longer than they initially told me it would take to fix it, which I would have been fine with, except the reason it took two extra days was because they were doing extra repairs and replacements of parts that I did not ask for. They charged me over $100, and after reviewing the notes made by the employee, I found out that they replaced parts that they noted were in good condition

I had deleted this app. I got it again just to give this review. My experience with this store and their customer service was that bad. They really should have some mystery shoppers inside the store to bolster their training and customers' experience. Needless to say, I did not buy a bike at this store. I am on why way to a competing shop to make my purchase.

Great atmosphere, service. Decent prices. A bunch of cool vintage bikes hanging around, as well as nice new ones of many varieties. The staff is very helpful, and know their stuff, including for older bikes. They sell Team Athens kits, which look very nice. I go to Athens yearly to see relatives, and Cycle Path is my favorite shop there. I have not bought a full bike there, but they have been very helpful about local riding places, repairs, selling used parts and giving advice.
One GREAT thing they could offer: bike rentals.
