Forged from our lifelong love of bicycles we've built a shop that welcomes cyclists of all levels. Our experience racing, touring, causally riding on the bike path, and pulling our son behind us in a wagon gives us a wide range of knowledge to answer questions from both the seasoned elite, as well as the casual rider new to the sport.

Both new and used bikes are available at our shop, we are also prepared to assist you with any repair you need in order to get out and ride. We also carry a line of rental bikes- so come and enjoy the last of the beautiful Fall weather!

Events Report

Be sure to check in with the shop about questions you have and changes in schedules due to weather! This is an all inclusive out and back ride from the shop. We stay on the bike path for the entire ride and last for one hour. We will have a rider to lead and a rider to sweep to ensure that all participates remain supported and save.

Perfectly located next to the bike path, Black Diamond is where we start our family cycling adventures. We have had many bicycles serviced and refitted. We have always had stellar customer service. It is a family friendly shop and a pillar of the community.

Don't Panic Productions is riding to the studio in style now with a little help from Vince. I bought my last bike on a whim in Brooklyn NY almost 20 years ago, and still ride that rock hopper from time to time. Today, there was a nice entry level specialized road bike on the wall that seemed to have been waiting for me to walk in. Thanks for getting me back in the game!

I was in a group ride yesterday and needed some air in my tires. the owner kindly and with a big smile set my tires at my preferred pressure.
Service with a smile!! That is precious.
They have a great selection and great value of rides for all members of your family all the way up to competitive riders. And, a great value regardless of your budget.

I rented bikes her with my friends and visited a bunch of breweries, it was so much fun! Bikes were in great condition, highly recommend this shop. They have mountain bike rentals too.

Most laid back, and knowledgeable staff in Athens for mountain biking. I have never felt judged or felt the “snooty” vibe from anyone at the shop. Awesome staff, awesome selection, and phenomenal service.

This is one of the best kept secrets of Athens, Vince is an avid rider in all forms of cycling. The knowledge and friendliness with him and his staff is top notch. Nice selection of bikes and gear. Stop in and check this place out, it will not disappoint.

Wanted a little something new to do in Hocking Hills, so we ventured off to Black Diamond Bicycles. Started our journey off to Athens from the bike rental place. Great customer service and knowledge of the area and things to do. Won’t go anywhere else to rent. FRIENDLY AND fun! What an adventure! Best thing of all, you have a place to eat right next door after your trip.

Excellent place to rent bikes!!! The trail is beside the rental shop along with two nice restaurants which makes everything super convenient and easy!!
The bikes and wagon we rented were in top shape and the guys working there are so kind and helpful!

I have nothing to say but great things about Black Diamond Bikes in Athens. They did a great just in retuning my Scott Foil 10. They also diagnosed my rear derail hanger was bent which was giving my Shimano Di2… problems for the last 4 months. They also re-trued my rear rim and took special attention to the bearings cleaned the and lubed the entire bike.
Great people to work with, the price was VERY reasonable.

The rental bikes are "Comfortable" and easy to ride. This location is tops with almost on the trail and next door to the new and exciting Eclipse Country Store, where you will find good good food. Vince knows Bikes!
