The Ignite Dance Company is a competitive dance team of dancers ages 6-18. Ignite dancers compete at approximately three or four regional level competitions and conventions in the Chicago land area. Dancers may also compete in ONE national level competition during the summertime. Ignite dancers will also have performances throughout the year for various causes and events.
Ignite will provide an opportunity for dancers to train at a high level and perform at competitions and conventions, while only dancing a required 2 or 3 day per week. If students are interested in dancing more than the required amount, Ignite provides additional opportunities through optional groups, or solos, duos, or trios which may be rehearsed on additional days.

Services
It is our vision to wake creativity and movement in novice dancers and to revitalize enthusiasm in seasoned dancers. We will mold beginners in a fun and nurturing environment while installing technique, discipline, and a passion for the art. We will enhance the strengths and improve upon the weaknesses of an advanced dancer in a positive, encouraging atmosphere.
Opening its doors in 2006, Turning Pointe Dance Company has been Lockport's number one destination for quality dance education training. Our new facilities feature 10,000 square feet of spacious studios with sprung floors, vinyl overlay, floor to ceiling mirrors and state of the art surround sound stereo systems.
During every step of this program, dancers learn age appropriate skills and dance terminology to lay a strong foundation for their future. We have carefully developed this program to ensure that each dancer takes home more than just steps. They take with them confidence, musicality and the beauty of movement.
How many times does my child dance a week? Each class meets once a week - except for Ballet III, IV, & V (those classes meet twice each week). How can I make up classes? Please ask your teacher or the front desk for an appropriate class to make-up your missed class. After this point, all classes will be focused on preparing for our annual recital.

I can not say enough great things about TPDC! My daughter has been going here for years. The staff are amazing. She has learned so much; from dance moves, to vocabulary, and more. I know my daughter is in great hands while she is here. I am also so impressed with how they have handled new covid guidelines to ensure safety for all! Thank you Miss Chrissy for making our dance experience so positive.
