Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Courtney pursued her legal education in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she obtained a Joint Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center and Master's in Public Administration from Southern University A&M College through the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy.
Prior to pursuing her legal education, Courtney attended and is a graduate of Southern University - Shreveport where she obtained her Associate degree in Paralegal Studies and Wiley College -Marshall, Texas where she obtained her Bachelor of Administration degree with a specialization in Organizational Management that includes Business Management, Human Resource and Finance.
