Today is Day 5 of the "12 Weeks to Abs" program. Easy peasy, right? My name is Elizabeth Malone and I was one of two entrants chosen to participate in H&H's "12 weeks to Abs." I am a 39 year-old mom and wife from Peculiar, MO. Until you get to know me, I'm really pretty quiet - and maybe even a little standoffish.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Thomas Moore and I was chosen for "12 weeks to NPC Stage" at His & Her Fitness. I was first introduced to the His & Her Fitness team through my girlfriend, Aja James, who had been working with the trainers there for a couple of months. Since she started with His & Her Fitness, Aja has really gained an appreciation for living a healthy lifestyle - and she motivated me to improve my own.
When performed properly, exercising with weights is the best way to increase muscle tone and improve total body strength. You should always work out with a trainer (or an individual trained in proper weight-lifting techniques) when you begin your own weight-lifting program or try new exercises. Begin with smaller muscle groups and work up to the larger muscle groups - and remember to work opposing muscle groups in an exercising session.
Walking into His and Her Fitness at 4am day 1 was terrifying to me. I wasn't sure what I was getting into all I knew was that I was ready, completely ready for a lifestyle change. I was nominated for 8 weeks to greatness and 24 hours later I had a meal plan and a creative cardio routine. I had a week to show what I was made of - my determination and dedication to the 8 weeks to Greatness program!
You're never going to be 100% ready and it's never going to be just the right time, but that's the point. It means that every moment is also the right moment, if you want it, you just have to do it. Since having children 9 years ago, I was always waiting for the RIGHT time to put my health and myself first.

Before I share my review, I would like to say that most of the other clients I met here had a positive experience and a good relationship with their trainers. This review is just reflective of my personal experience:

I started training with Christina and staff years ago and I can say this is a life-changing experience. Their focus is all around fitness and nutrition, and not just losing weight. Not only do they help you train muscles, but they work with you on appropriate level cardio routines and nutrition plan. By working with them and following their guidance, I have lost inches, gained muscle, have much more energy, improved health, and feel a lot healthier and happier!

The team and family at His and Her Fitness is truly amazing! Christina is one of the most genuine and caring person you will ever meet. I have trained with Christina in studio gym and virtual. Let me just say "Fantastic". Since my career working as a BSN RN takes me across the nation for over 20 years she has been able to help my fitness. When I stick with her I look great my knees don't ache and energy is fantastic.Encourages me to eat more, which shocks me that I lose weight and feel better eating more! Christina is absolutely amazing. This is such a great gym. It has everything you need to lift, very professional staff, and a great atmosphere. I have never been held as accountable before going to a gym, which makes you feel more than just a client on a list. Hands down, best gym I have ever joined.

Christina is WONDERFUL. She is always upbeat and in a great mood, and she is so creative when it comes to motivating her clients. His and her fitness has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and truly is a gym for everyone. I love love LOVE this gym and was so bummed to say goodbye when I moved to Denver. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, I cannot recommend this place enough!
