Superior Fit Body LLC is a private fitness gym in Kansas City offering personal training and bootcamp fitness classes. Personal training focuses on YOU and YOUR goals. We do not use the cookie cutter workouts that most gyms use. Everybody is different, so everybody should have a different workout. We always focus on posture first then detail from there.

Remember your body is a chain, if one link of the chain is broken you don't have a secure foundation. When working with clients in the beginning stages, it's important to access their current fitness level and help them to improve their posture first. It's not what you do, but how you do it that will deliver your results.
Services
Our bootcamp and group fitness classes are different everyday, using body weight exercises, dumbbells, resistance bands, medicine balls, battle ropes, cardio and core exercises. Your instructor will demonstrate exercises five minutes before class, so please arrive 5-10 minutes early. You'll be observed and coached during class to ensure you are doing each exercise correctly.
Find out what's not working and what is then start working out the right way with one of our certified personal trainers. Our philosophy is that it's not what you do but how you do it that makes the difference between achieving your fitness goals or not. We use corrective exercises with a focus on proper form and posture to help you push beyond your current limitations and reach your optimal level.
Superior Fit Body is the ONLY Kansas City area fitness facility that excels in working with Seniors one-on-one to better their lifestyle. Ray O'Kelly is certified as a personal trainer for Seniors by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He believes posture, strength and dynamic stretching are vital to a pain free future for clients of all ages, especially seniors.

Ray is an excellent Corrective Exercise Specialist. I've had both hips and knees replaced along with brain surgery. Ray has developed an interesting and effective exercise program over the last 22 months that has gotten me physically stronger and more mobile so that I can live an active lifestyle.

I really missed Ray’s classes over the past few months and I am SO SORE after a Total Body Workout. I use ClassPass so try many different group fitness programs and Ray is one of my favorites. The moves are always challenging but doable and appreciate his positive attitude.
I do wish his classes were on classpass still but now I just do drop ins when I need some strength training.
Overall great place for strength training and cardio. His facility is extremely clean! Hard classes with 1:1 attention. His dogs are an added bonus.

It IS possible for "bootcamp" to be fun! I've been attending classes and personal training with Ray O'Kelly for three months and I love it. Whether in class or one-on-one training, Ray is always monitoring people, encourages proper form over showmanship, and offers effective modifications if an exercise is too advanced or difficult due to injury. No two classes have been remotely similar as Ray also listens to suggestions for muscle groups and class format and changes it up. The atmosphere is fun, led by Ray but also by the regular crowd. I've been attending Superior Fit Body Boot Camps for about 4 months now and love it! Ray has variety of exercises so no two classes are the same. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to feel stronger, healthier and fitter.

I'm 62 years young and have suffered with severe knee pain and osteoarthritis for more than 20 years, so knee replacement surgeries were on my calendar this year. I went to Ray about eight months prior with the goal of getting fit and strong to better withstand the surgeries. Frankly, I wasn't sure Ray would even take me on as a client, because of my special needs. But Ray was undeterred and he came up with a plan geared specifically to me. In another review I read how he adapted and adjusted exercises to individual needs, and this is so true. He'd reiterate all the time small adjustments still

I have had various personal trainers in the past 10 years. Ray was recommended to me by another trainer due to a knee injury, it took about 30-45 days of exercise rehabilitation. He was knowledgeable and very professional so I decided to continue to work with him.
I am extremely impressed with the results and the amount of energy I began to experience.
He has a very positive personality that makes you feel good all around. I highly recommend Ray to anyone that needs to get in the best possible shape.

Ray will help you not only achieve your goals, but he will make you love working out. He will literally work with you 24/7. He cares a lot about his clients more than anything else, and during his class, he'd work and help each one of us, one by one. You will no be judged, you will feel empowered and motivated once you talk to him. Ray is my only reason why I decided to go back to the gym, because he's that good with his clients, and his boot camp class is just amazing. Thank you so much for your continued support ! I'd like to take a moment to write about my experience working with Ray O'Kelly. I had come to the point where I knew I needed to make a major change in my fitness routine. I was working out steadily, but not seeing results. I had seen Ray working with his clients, and I noticed his clients changing over time for the better, of course! I started training with Ray, and I found the exercises to be not only functional, but tailored to my personal needs. I soon began to see results, and instead of just using the typical playbook of exercises, Ray really showed his knowledge and love of helping people
