This seems to be the place to go for claims to die a slow death. They are faithfully sending bills, but any attempts at contacting them must require smoke-signals or carrier pigeons. My emails and phone calls have netted me (in order):
-no response
-advice to not actually make claims
-no response
-very delayed response
-email bounce-back saying that the email no longer exists
Maybe they do good work for some people, but my experience has been otherwise.

Will not answer their phones, have to leave a message, good luck. Definitely does not deserve the 1 star.
Update;
5 months later I get a response from the owner, yes I had a different broker, not agent, unfortunately so my broker was excellent however when I had to call in say when my car was stolen for example, I had to talk to my agent on file: shaner insurance group, trust me I wouldn't have chose to use this company had I known any better and all I had was problems because you have to contact your agent first. We then had to take other steps after the failed attempts to contact this company

These people are the worst! I made payments to them, they don't submit them correctly then I get cancelled and DON'T even let me know what's going on. I get a letter in the mail 2 months later saying I didn't pay when I did. If you want NO SUPPORT, NO SERVICE, nothing but excuses and heartless comments, this group is for you!!!

Todd Shaner is the best, a live person who is committed to the residents of his town. I was new to this city and Todd came to home to set up my TV, sound box, etc. because I was overwhelmed with my move and not in the best of health. Todd takes my calls and honestly, I don't even check the prices of other insurance companies anymore, because the time and frustration of 800 companies is just not worth it. Todd has my home and auto insurance, and if I had a boat, he would get that insurance too!
