Services
With fully licensed, expert services in New York and New Jersey ranging from professional nursing to home companions, Sunshine Homecare was founded to provide the superior care at home your loved ones deserve, as well as the support you need. We take that mission to heart. Sunshine Homecare was founded in 2004 by Francis Clement, PhD, and Biju Francis, RN, when they started doing business out of the basement of their home in New City.
Sunshine Homecare continues to expand since being established in 2004 with one Registered Nurse and an administrator providing 24/7 skilled nursing care for one patient working out of the owner's home office in Nanuet, New York. In a little over a decade in operation, Sunshine has 607 professionals 120 paraprofessionals serving 300 clients out of eight locations in New York, New Jersey, Illinois and India.
Our family contacted Sunshine Home care Services when our mother started to need more help than we could provide, particularly with bathing. We were surprised at the prompt response from Sunshine and they were out to see what was needed and bathed her faster than we thought could happen. They were able to work with our schedule well and sent aides who were skilled and helpful right away.
In most situations the patient, family member(s) and /or Power of Attorney (POA) will be informed by a doctor, social worker, or other health care professional that home care services will be required in order for the patient to safely live independently in their home. Once this occurs a care manager will provide direction on where to go for those services or arrange for a licensed home care agency to commence service.
Sunshine Homecare's nurses are licensed and skilled in geriatrics, adult and pediatric care. The nurses commence a client's service with a visit to observe the patient, make an assessment of the patient's needs, and prepare a Plan of Care. The services provided by Sunshine's Registered Nurses (RNs) include: post-op, ventilator and wound care, IV and Nutritional Support Therapy, tube feeding, tracheostomy, and pain and medication management.
