We stayed only one night on an Thursday-Friday, but for that night this was as close to the perfect hotel in the price range as I can imagine. It's not a full-service hotel, but it's big enough to have somebody at the front desk full-time. As such it's very low key, service quick, unchatty, and polite at the desk, which suits me completely fine, and not having any of the inflationary services at business class hotels, it's all very simple and quiet. The small "lobby" area is fairly big and airy and is a decent waiting/resting area.
Did I say quiet? I couldn't

I just had a bridal shower at The Inn at Swarthmore for my daughter. Melissa and Edi were so easy to deal with when scheduling the room and making arrangements. The room we had (Gathering Room B) was big and bright, yet the party still felt like an intimate affair. We opted for a brunch with a 2hr Mimosa bar. The food was delicious. Everything was so fresh. The scrambled eggs with Cheddar Cheese were so good!
Edi was always on hand throughout the event. No one was without a drink or in need of anything.

We spent a night at the Inn and were delighted. The room was spacious, nicely appointed and very comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant. Food choices and quality were outstanding as was the service. This boutique hotel is located adjacent to the Swarthmore campus, the train station and village center. We look forward to a return visit.

Phenomenally poor customer service! Booked a wheelchair accessible room months in advance. They call us one day before to tell us their elevator is out of service and they have no first floor rooms. Two days for a weekend reservation. no offer to help us find reasonable accommodations, especially as rates will be way higher now. Called to talk to a manager and they forward me to a voicemail. Finally talked to manager Greg and he told me "at least I told you before you got here". Thanks for nothing.
Also, ADA law requires that there be prompt fixing of broken elevators for just this

I was in extended stay for a week after my surgery. The staff was very accommodating keeping me in items I needed and checking on me every other day. Jacob was very helpful and caring and his help getting my partners wifi working on her laptop so she could continue her classes while staying with me was very much appreciated.

Came here for a baby shower. It was VERY difficult to find it because it's just off a roundabout. I literally drove around this area about three times with waze telling me I arrived three separate times before I stopped and asked someone where it was. That may have been my fault because round abouts stress me out but I had never been here before so I had no idea what I was looking for and traffic was coming every which way and it was difficult to find in these circumstances.

We booked rooms here for our wedding and had a great stay! The rooms were big and clean and the staff was really welcoming. We also used one of the rooms on the first floor for a rehearsal and the food was great and the room looked really nice. I was worried it would look like a conference room, but they did a really nice job! We also had breakfast in the restaurant which was a little expensive, but the food was well portioned and delicious!

The Inn is a lovely place to stay! Right next to the SEPTA tracks, with bookstore, restaurant, and decent coffee in the morning! Walkable to campus, and very nice.
Extremely new and spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and nice appointments.
Three weird things: While there are a zillion lamps in the room, I literally had to call the front desk to ask how to turn them on. There's no shower door (just a glass wall), and terrible water pressure. (This is probably to ensure that water doesn't go everywhere with no shower door.) The closet doesn't allow for you to hang dresses

If you are looking for a cozy inn to stay, and you don't want to break the bank, I highly recommend The Inn at Swarthmore. There is plenty of parking, easy access, large rooms with all of the amenities… (including big screen TVs with HBO), and most importantly the friendliest staff you can ask for. Everyone goes out of their way at The Inn at Swarthmore to make sure their customers have the best possible experience.

As promised, I've stayed two more times for business trips and am so thankful for the great partnership The Inn at Swarthmore has with my company. Again, my favorite aspects of The Inn are the location and the cleanliness of the inn. I had a serious issue with housekeeping my second visit, but I spoke to the manager on duty and felt heard. He promised to speak to the staff member involved and took care of everything. Other than that, my last two trips were just as fabulous and I even tacked on a vacation day to the end of my last trip. The Inn at Swarthmore is definitely my go-to place to

Increased attendance forced us to change venue for our Penn CBIR retreat for approx 100 scientists this year to The Inn at Swarthmore. Negotiations and preparation for the event were made easy by catering sales manager, Melissa Sage, and service was impeccable, led by Edy. Buffet was hot and delicious, and was timed perfectly at breaks. Good, hot coffee provided by local roastery, Beans and Burlap, and pastries started our day off right. Lunch included a perfectly cooked lightly seasoned salmon, a chicken dish, and a mushroom medley for the vegan/vegetarians. Attendees ate in the same room as the

Hands down the best inn ive stayed at in the US! was here for school visits around the philly area, and was surprised that swarthmore college was right across the street!
it is a very cozy, local inn: all the paintings and sculptures around the hotel are done by swarthmore alumni. all the staff are EXTREMELY friendly; they even let us bring the "The Meaning of Swarthmore" book away with us. our room on the 3rd floor was so big: 2 queen beds, two sofas, a desk & lots of empty space besides all this. definitely worth its price.

There are some features about the inn that are 5 stars for sure. The room was pristinely cleaned and attractive, and modern. Front desk folks were friendly and helpful.
However, the room was set to freezing with the AC blasting to low 50s in 60 degree weather. It took over an hour for the room temp to reset at a comfortable level. The soap caddy was empty, and I got 2 bites despite spraying myself.
In the restaurant, I was happy to see it was bright with ample seating, and a decent variety of foods. But my waiter, Sam, was disappointing. She dropped off the food and later the check silently

This is a lovely hotel in lots of ways but NO ONE is ever at the front desk from 4pm on. So frustrating. I have tried calling down, over and over. Then I decided after several attempts to walk down myself to get help and there were the 3 people hanging around chatting! One was the housekeeper with the hair over her eye, the front desk person had a turban of some sort on. And her little kid was peeking out behind the door to the back. I tried calling again later on that night to say that our neighbors had their TV on too loud, and once again - no answer at the front desk! This is at 8pm. Now I&apos

Considering location location location (walking distance to college), we were not impressed!
An overnight for 4 adults was $500.
No one answered front desk after 8 rings. Inadequate lighting in suite. No refrigerator! (Extra) No phone in bedroom (No wake up call). No toilet paper other than a used roll. One hook (literally) in the bathroom, which had a sticky floor...
Worst was the elephant herd that was right above the bedroom!
Hitting up a B&B for next conference.

I stayed here with a wedding. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. The front desk was very personable and check in/out was simple. The parking is free and although the rooms are a little pricey- it is definitely worthwhile.
If you go there, make sure to go to the restaurant. I was there for breakfast and then again for lunch the next day and it was delicious!

Just checked into my room here --- the free parking is great, the lobby is inviting and the checking desk is welcoming as well. Checked out the restaurant on site, reservations at 5pm! Can't wait. The room, an accessible room is spacious.
The view of the town is nostalgic.
Dinner was Fantastic, great food great service. Went down for breakfast and got the same great food, iffy service but the food made up for that.

I have eaten at the Inn at Swarthmore many times and have enjoyed most every meal. The thing about the Inn is that their Chef is very eclectic and his choice of cooking styles and foods are not to everyone's tastes. You have to be a bit experimental. You can imagine my joy when eight family and friends went to the Inn for Thanksgiving dinner. At $48.00 for a three course (actually 4course) meal, this was definitely a 'big splurge'. Thankfully, it was worth it.

I was directed to stay here by a colleague as even with my HHonors status I was unable to get a reasonably priced accommodation in the area on one day's notice. This local hotel had a great rate and was able to get me in the day before.
The property is obviously new and all the fixtures, furnishings and accommodations were clean and comfortable. There is a decent size fitness center with free weights and a small selection of equipment.
The attached restaurant is very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again if my travel required it.

On day 8 of a 10 day driving college tour with my teenager, really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful newly opened Inn at Swarthmore. By day 8, we've stayed at the range of these type of Inns. I highly recommend this Inn. Two Queen bed room was $200, which was reasonable given the quality and very convenient location.
It is right next to the train station and Swarthmore campus. We easily walked to the campus tour, keeping our car in the free parking.
Checkout is at noon, which is always appreciated. The rooms are spacious. They put thought into lighting, bedside phone charging. The

So great to be able to stay in this beautiful new hotel so close to campus. Food was delicious - I got the lettuce wrap and grilled broccoli. My son got the hanger steak. Shares a yummy chocolate brownie dessert. Beautiful to sit outside and watch the sunset.
Hotel; All the staff were friendly and the room was beautiful. I'm not a fan of the European style shower half glass as I got water on the floor, but that is a minor inconvenience. Would stay here again in a second.
