I was lucky enough to stay at the Dwight D hotel thanks to an auction win back in the Spring. My interactions with Vittoria, one of the owners, and Sarah, their director of food and beverage, were nothing but kind and welcoming. From the moment you arrive, the team looks out for you and ensures a pleasant stay. This was my first time staying in a boutique hotel, and it was enjoyable! The location is convenient to the many things offered in Philadelphia, and the effort they put in to preserving the 1800's townhouse feel of the hotel totally pays off. It was very much appreciated that they

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We were in the City for a family wedding. I had spoken with Vittoria a few times prior to arrival and she was very lovely and quite helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by Vittoria's husband, who showed us to our room. We were on the 2nd floor and had a balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard. It was a beautiful, peaceful stay, during the wedding whirlwind.
Thank you so much for making our weekend so relaxing. We will come back again!

This historic boutique hotel is a hidden gem just a few blocks from Rittenhouse square. It has just 11 rooms and the owners go out of their way to provide a great experience. Avoid the big high rise hotels for a unique experience. There are dozens of amazing restaurants within a few blocks and can actually have a great walk one way to the museums, another way to Independence Hall or down to the Italian market. Their beautiful parlor is a great place to visit with a few friends with coffee and tea available at all times or grab take out and sit in the gorgeous small dining area. Highly recommend

Just had a wonderful stay at the Dwight over the weekend. Our first time. Such a gorgeous property. The unique decor, room amenities were well thought out. Great breakfast too - perfect start to our day. Innkeepers (Vittoria and her husband) were absolutely wonderful - incredibly passionate about what they're doing. It's very hard to consider a regular hotel stay after such an enriching time, especially when you're up for something more personal. I work in the city and know my way around pretty well. You can't beat the location - restaurant options, theatre or simply exploring

My husband and I stayed at the Dwight D. for a week. We had a room at the back of the hotel, and you could hear absolutely no traffic noise at all! It was so quiet that it was hard to believe we were staying in the middle of the city. The rooms are well-appointed and lovely. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The owners, Vittoria and Ken, are absolutely wonderful. So very welcoming and helpful. Thanks to them we had some wonderful dining experiences, and visited the absolute best of Philadelphia!

Our stay at The Estate House, part of the Dwight D hotel, was delightful. Owner Vittoria was communicative from the start, and met us at the property upon our arrival. She was generous with her time and showed us the house from top to bottom. There is some renovation going on to connect this townhouse with the hotel proper, which actually worked well for us as it gave us access to an additional room, where we gathered for morning coffee.
The owners have put a lot into this property and it shows. If you appreciate grand, older homes, this is the place for you. Tall ceilings and windows, deep moldings

If you want to stay somewhere that provides quality, compassionate service during unrest among this political climate- this is probably not the place for you.
My boyfriend and I stayed here and arrived in Philadelphia on the first day of the George Floyd protests happening. Where we stayed is tucked away into a small road and so we assumed it would be a rather safe, unassuming place to be. We joined the protests in the late afternoon and headed back to the hotel once we witnessed target being broken into. Just to be cautious, we had packed all of our belongings aside from non essentials and left

Thank goodness for these lovely people.. long day of travel coming into town for less then 24 hours Victoria and her husband made me feel at home. Recommended a lovely quick dinner next door at Monk's Cafe, highly recommend their French fries (I am a huge critic and these are by far the best) along with their vegan burger. Amazing.
Check out came very fast but once again super simply as I had 3 huge overweight suitcases they held them in their offices for me, safe and locked up waiting for me in the AM. The lovely gentlemen carried them out to the street for me as there are only stairs,

A quaint yet mighty competitor to one of the high end hotels in Center City, the Dwight D. has been beautifully restored and the rooms updated to 2018 guest standards. The owner, Vittoria, and her husband work on site and are helpful and chatty. We enjoyed our stay and will likely be back. Ask Vittoria about restaurant recommendations!

We were three couples visiting Philadelphia from the SF Bay Area and we were thrilled with the accommodations, location and the hospitality of the owners. We had a wonderful time at the Dwight D ($25 overnight parking a few steps away while being in the heart of the city - which is lunacy if you've ever stayed over night in a city) being a few steps away from American history and some of the east coasts most innovative restaurants was a plus! the inn is located in a nondescript brownstone building on a quiet street,it housed modern amenities and hardwood floors that I personally adored(are they original?). the owners were helpful in tips about local attractions and more than welcoming during check in and check out. Everything about the experience

About as perfect a stay as possible!
Small boutique hotel....rooms gorgeous and spacious!
Only a handful of rooms, so you get to know the owners very well
Off rittenhouse square, so walkable to restaurants, coffee shops etc
Vittoria was amazingly helpful!
I recommend this for anyone looking to stay in center city!

A charming boutique hotel on a quiet street in the heart of Philly. It's a bit hard to spot so be sure you have the address and look for the gold plate on the heavy wooden door in the middle of the block next door to a restaurant.
This former row house residence from the 1800s make for a cozy oasis of luxury just a couple of blocks from the Kimmel arts center. In fact that proximity was our original reason for choosing it along with the fact that we are more and more gravitating toward unique boutique style lodging as our travel increase.
To enter you need to ring the bell and the owner

This was the perfect getaway. Booked at The Dwight D last minute for New Years Eve and stayed two nights. Vittoria was very friendly and personable. The hotel was very welcoming, cozy and clean. It was perfect for the two of us. Right in center city, close to shopping, restaurants, bars and Rittenhouse Park. We would love to come back and will be recommending friends and family here. Thank you again Vittoria!!

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Dwight D. Vittoria looked after our every need, was enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel is beautifully situated to walk every neighborhood in this terrific city! Vittoria was also immediately helpful to sort out our bill as I'd made reservations for two rooms and my traveling companions wanted to pay for their room separately. Done and Dusted!
I was in 3F and the wi-fi didn't extend to that floor. I think the issue is being addressed but you might want to check if this is important to you. I used the downstairs sitting rooms to use the wi-fi...very comfortable

Recently stayed the weekend @ the Dwight D and couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. If you are looking for a bed&breakfast vibe with access to all Philly neighborhoods and attractions, this is your place.
Victoria, the owner, was attentive, helpful, energetic and accommodating. It was easy to arrange a late arrival and she even held our luggage on Sunday so we could explore the city before leaving.
The building is pre-war/historic/Victorian with very updated amenities and decorating. We loved the soft robes and round stone floored shower. Our room had a balcony that overlooked

Please be very careful when choosing the Dwight D. I made a reservation to stay there for one night during a conference. It was a horrible decision. Five days before the conference I noticed that my fully paid reservation had been refunded. This was later followed by an email from the owner Vittoria. Vittoria said she was sorry but that she had miscalculated the number of guests at the Dwight D and that she needed my room for another guest. When I told her that there were no other rooms available in the city of Philadelphia because of a large convention, she told me to look across the river for
