Skin is the body's largest organ and its first line of defense against every sneeze, ray of sunlight and puff of polluted air. Like other organs - including your heart, liver and kidneys - your skin needs regular checkups to ensure it is properly protecting you and reflecting good health. A medical dermatologist is a board-certified doctor who specializes in the anatomy and physiology of the skin and its related parts, including hair and nails.
She and her team can identify and address any skin-related concerns in order to optimize your wellness and wellbeing. Regular self-care exams and an annual skin-cancer screening by a medical dermatologist are critical for early detection. A medical dermatologist and her staff can offer those life-saving screenings, as well as prevention, diagnosis and treatment plans that are tailored to your individual needs.

I left a great dermatology practice in Birmingham and was so happy to find Pensacola Dermatology on Nextdoor Perdido. This is a well-managed, calm, helpful practice with follow-through. They also help with rx pricing by giving discount card advice or recommending GoodRx. Tip: See the P.A. if you can't get in to Dr. Watson for a few weeks. Jennifer is great!

Dermatology by Amy Watson was a wonderful experience. The free standing house was accessible and the practice was clean and very professional. The lovely waiting room was ample and there was only one other person there. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and followed Covid protocols with masks. Check in was quick and easy since I’d previously done paperwork online. The wait was only about 5-10 minutes and the practitioner, Kathy Gormandy, was delightful. She was smart, knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. I was probably in the office about 30 minutes total. My primary residence

I have been to Pensacola Dermatology three times and my first two visits were great, no complaints! I wish I could say the same about the third. The receptionist insisted that I wear a face mask in the lobby and I might have considered it but I was the ONLY person in the lobby. Meanwhile two women (employees) behind the receptionist were not. One had her mask pulled down under her chin and the other wasn’t wearing one at all. I had been there earlier in the year and there was no mask requirement. PD referred me to a specialist for a cancer to be removed on my face in a busy medical office building

Normally you'd expect professionalism and courtesy from a medical office, but NOT HERE! I have never met or even seen the MD. The "practitioner" didn't address all of my concerns and was too worried about rushing out to go to lunch. Now I have to go somewhere else to finish what they started. They take hours for a call back to an extremely simple question. Don't waste your time here like I did, they're literally NOT WORTH IT. Very dissatisfied.
