Martin Ray Winery
Growing up in the San Joaquin Valley and living the equal parts rigor and reward of farming firsthand, Courtney was struck by the endless possibilities of the grape. With a dynamic perspective on the industry, the likewise endless possibilities for innovating operations at his own winery are what called Courtney to found Angeline in 1990, and what continues to call him to raise the bar on everyday wines.

Early on, Courtney recognized that great wine is the sum of more than just good grapes and talented winemakers; it's the result of an efficient, nimble whole. As with so many start-up ideas, there is a constant conceptual interplay between our lean core team and a selection of expert consultants and growers.
Services
Whether you're an enthusiastic wine lover or a seasoned collector, you can have 4, 6 or 12 of our exclusive club wines shipped directly to you four times per year. By joining our club you have the ability to tailor your wine selections, enjoy private tastings, attend member-only events, and receive first access to our single vineyard wines.
Come experience Martin Ray Vineyards and Winery set on the Laguna Ridge in the heart of Sonoma County. With a rich history and continued dedication to making terroir-driven wines from iconic appellations from the Russian River, Napa Valley, and Santa Cruz Mountains we promise to offer each visitor an exploration of place.
There is much to be said about the allure of "Estate" wines, but as the idiom goes, variety is the spice of life. At Martin Ray, we have little qualms about dealing from both sides of the deck if the result is the best possible wine we can produce.

Our estate has twelve acres of varying clones of Pinot Noir vines, but true to our motley personalities, we would be remiss to not take advantage of the extraordinary wine-growing regions that surround every side of our home in the middle of the Russian River Valley.
From our Estate in the Russian River Valley, to the broad terroir of Sonoma County and Napa Valley, to the high elevation and close proximity to the Pacic Ocean in Santa Cruz, we rely on premiere vineyard sites with meticulous detail to farming. Built on a foundation of relationships and deep affinity for each region, we believe each wine begins its life in the vineyard.
Designed to be a balance of integration, Synthesis is a culmination of contrasting elements. We blend each wine to be a testament to its vintage, highlighting the nuances of its components while letting the appellation shine through. Our Estate Pinot Noir flaunts the finest characteristics from our collection of Dijon and Heritage clones.

I can't say enough great things about Martin Ray!! The wine, the property, the surroundings, the food, the staff - all AMAZING!!
My husband and I hosted our wedding rehearsal "picnic" afternoon at Martin Ray. Upon first reaching out to them, we quickly heard back from Brooke (who is absolutely incredible) and Tyler (just as amazing!). Brooke is the Director of Hospitality. She is a former event planner and I can go on and on about how lucky we were to find this special gem of a place and her team!
We hosted a 3 hour afternoon event at Martin Ray for our 25 closest family/ friends. We had the

What a wonderful winery. We tasted some amazing wines. The wine barrel with a 4 person table in it out in the vineyard was the most amazing place to have lunch in. Wow. If you are looking for great wines, perfect setting and an unforgettable experience, Martin Ray Vineyards is the place to go! Loved it!

One of the best winery experiences from my trip to California. The staff was fantastic and the venue was beautiful. We were told they are adding outdoor games and a bar. Awesome spot to come hang out and enjoy the outdoors.

Fantastic venue and great wine. Not only did we taste great wine and place an order for wines we cannot get at home, our host suggested a great place for lunch just down the road. It was 100+ degrees when we visited so we didn't order a picnic lunch but had the weather been cooler we would have. The grounds are beautiful and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

One of my favorite wineries for wine tasting. Price of tasting is very affordable ($15) and is waived if you buy a bottle of wine, which are also priced well - in $20-$30 range. The best part is that they encourage you to walk around, sit outside, etcetera and they come find you with the next wine in the tasting list. While technically speaking you can do this anywhere, this is the first place I didn't feel like I had to ask. They also have chickens walking around which are adorable, and colorful chairs under a tree facing the vineyard which makes for the most relaxing place to sit and sip.
