Ring the bells that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything. Are you or someone you love in a time of crisis, loss, or life change? Perhaps you have depression, anxiety, medical problems, or chronic pain? Maybe you are tired of repeating the same patterns alone or in your partnership.

Life can certainly be difficult. While it is not "all in your mind, " we can make things easier or harder on ourselves. Sometimes we need help because it can feel terrible to go through challenging times and we may feel stuck or overwhelmed. While seeking a therapist to talk about your pain is vulnerable, it is also an act of courage and determination.
Services
I am a California licensed clinical psychologist, Qualified Medical Examiner, and psychotherapist in private practice. I am also a candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California in San Francisco. Prior to entering full time into my work in private practice and med-legal evaluation, I served as the Director of Psychology and Behavioral Medicine at Pacific Pain Institute.
As a behavioral medicine psychologist, I have experience and extensive expertise in regards to a wide-range of concerns, presenting problems, and ways of working to directly address symptom relief, including CBT, MCBT, Solutions Focused, Hakomi, and relaxation training. I have found, however, that symptom relief, although important, does not lead to lasting change.
How we respond when the storm strikes is up to us. How we live in the aftermath of tragedy and heartache, that's within our control. And it's in these moments, through our actions, that we often see the glimpse of what makes life worth living in the first place. Psychotherapy explores "blind spots", conflicts, and the difficult feelings, thoughts, or memories that we try to push aside in order to cope with the demands of life.
Behavioral and Psychological Evaluation: I also accept referrals from individuals looking for an in-depth understanding of their psychological distress including diagnosis, assessment of functioning and comprehensive treatment recommendations. I also collaborate with primary care physicians to evaluate the impact of a person's state of mind on medical treatment, prognosis, and everyday functioning.

I went to see her back in 2012, I needed help after 7 failed surgeries in just 4 months. Was experiencing depression and thoughts of suicide. She didn't give any advice during the entire session and then when I told her about my loss of hope, she told me HOPE was a very bad thing. She destroyed me that day, please be careful with your family or yourself. She is not helpful.
