Radicchio Cafe
Although casual and fairly inexpensive Radicchio Cafe comes with a pedigree, in fact it was opened in the year 2000 by the owner of Laceno Italian Grill, a popular and long established Italian restaurant in Voorhees, South Jersey. If you are new to Philadelphia and are planning to have a really nice dinner, just ask your friends or the Concierge.

Chance are they will say if you want to have some great Italian food at a fair price You must try Radiccio Cafe. That place is just incredible. And if you go, do not forget to bring your favorite bottle of wine. Since its opening however, there have been some changes. We renovated the entire place, expanded our window area and added some noise absorbent panels (so now you can actually hear your companion talking to you in a very busy night).

Gotta love it when you sit down in a restaurant and don't even have to look at a menu to know what you're getting. Place oozes cliche Italian charm, in a good way. Saw a plate come out the kitchen, I ordered it. Scallops and shrimp with pasta in a red sauce. Magnificent! Definitely coming back again.

One of our favorite places to eat in the city, octopus and calamari app is phenomenal. Black seafood linguini dish is my personal favorite. Had the pork ossobuco last night and it was delicious. For dessert we always order some cannolis. BYOB + superb service.

First timers, but definitely not last timers! This restaurant is extraordinary. Each item we tried was so delicious. The staff was spot on; informative and attentive. The atmosphere was quaint, but lively with other patrons.

Everything I've ever had here has been top notch: eggplant parm, sauteed spinach, artichokes, pasta. The tomato sauce is to die for. Excellent fast service and beautiful ambience plus BYOB so you save a bundle on wine. What could be better?
No cards or reservations, because is is that good.

Really great food and ambience. Was there last night with a party of 8; we were seated quickly with bread, bruschetta, and water brought out quickly too. The food was amazing, very fresh and delicious. We had grilled octopus, sausage and broccoli rabe, stuffed calamari, and burrata for starters. All good - seafood was super fresh. Had a mix of pasta dishes, I had the ravioli stuffed with crab meat with shrimp and baby scallops in a pink sauce... AMAZING!!! So so good. The grilled fish with pesto was delicious too. For dessert we had a cannoli, limoncello cake, and tiramisu with cappuccinos. All

I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s BYO, which I love and the food is amazing.
The guazetto, lamb and chicken parm were the top favorites of our group! They are so accommodating and we had such a good time celebrating a 40th birthday.
Special thanks to Emir for helping us get it all set up!

It broke my heart when Radicchio fell as another victim of the global crisis and closed it's doors with a for lease sign in the window. I was relieved and excited to see that it had reopened and was eager to resume my monthly night out here with a dear friend.

It was a beautiful Friday evening and we were immediately seated at one of the several outdoor tables. We saw the same familiar waiter's as well as a few regulars that were seated nearby. All felt right as this had a nostalgic tinge of "normalcy ".

We were presented with the same menu and the waiter rattled off the

Has this place changed ownership? We live in CT and stumbled on Radicchio many years ago on a trip south. We loved it and have been back several times over the years whenever we had the opportunity. Great food, reasonable priced and a wonderful atmosphere.

We stopped by this past week and it was not the same. Two of our dishes were on the salty side and mediocre at best. The bruschetta was passable but had nothing to do with the delicious experience of past visits.

We also noticed the Radicchio Cafe sign was down though it was still on the menu. New owners?

Not sure we will go back.

I was excited to try this place because it looks like a nice neighborhood byob. The service was good and nice atmosphere but the food was bland and very overpriced for what you get. The menu prices are way higher than listed online.

Delicious good every time. The space is really nice located in historic old city and across a park. They always take such good care of us when we go and we don't even go often enough for the to remember us. It's a nice little gem in this part of town.

The food is was very good. Upon arrival the host/server did not greet us or welcome us. We waited and after about 10 mins then I asked if we can have a table. We were seated right after. They were busy being that there were only the host and server taking and bringing out the orders. However, it was quick. Delicious food. Ask about specials. We did not and missed out on the grilled shrimp which is on the pictures on website. The location is cute and cozy.

I do hope that the ownership of this unique spot read their reviews, because although it was a very beautiful Saturday evening in Philadelphia, and the restaurant was obviously extremely busy and most likely understaffed, we found the entire experience to be an unfortunate disaster.
Without commenting on the mediocre food or the unbelievably long wait to be waited upon and served, none of the staff was pleasant, apologetic or understanding.
I believe everyone knows that this has been a very difficult time for the restaurant industry, but please, when your customers have to wait an hour at a table

Ok. So this spot is the real deal. I have been here at least 30 times. Half of the customers are speaking Italian. They are BYOB. I came here once and a man from Italy shared his homemade wine with me. The pasta is always done to a perfect al dente. You won't be getting over the top rich flavors here. It is pure, traditional, and delicious. Highly recommend anything with the pink sauce or chicken sorretina (their take on parm). The meatballs are savory. They also serve a mean branzino which is cooked whole and deboned by the staff. For vegetarians I recommend the burrata (typically on special

Went on recommendation from friends. Thanks to them, it's one of my boyfriend and my favorite places. You won't get better service, and we don't hesitate trying something new from the menu because we know it'll be great. If that hasn't sold you yet it's well priced, and BYOB.

We were pleasantly surprised with Radicchio. We went on a Tuesday night so the restaurant wasn't extremely busy. We had very good service and took the recommendation for the special and got the lamb ragu pasta and the burrata. The burrata was very good! We also got the fusilli delizia. I started with the lamb ragu pasta and thought there was no way the seafood pasta could be better and boy was I wrong. When I got to the fusilli delizia, I was blown away. The pink cream sauce was one the best things I've ever tasted! We dipped bread to make sure we got the last drops of the sauce. I would

Radicchio is a neighborhood favorite. I've been here two times now and every time I've had such wonderful food and a great experience. This cute BYO is not that big in size, but thats what i love about it. You feel like your home. You feel like you with family.

Their pink blush sauce is so good here. I have no idea what the secret ingredient is, but i could eat that sauce all day. I've had their chicken langolo (thin chicken cutlet, breaded with arugula and tomato on top). It's a hearty proportion and it's moist and flavorful. Their special appetizer one time i went was

Stumbled upon Radicchio yesterday and decided to go in for an early dinner around 5:30pm on a Saturday. The outdoor area was jam-packed, but there were seats available inside. Score!

We didn't know, but Radicchio is BYOB! We were bummed to not have anything with us, but good to know for next time.

The staff were so friendly and the menu was stacked with lots of great options. Between the two of us we decided to share two apps (the grilled octopus and the clams/mussels in red) as well as one entree (farfalle with crabmeat, tomatoes, and arugula). The apps were insanely delicious and the portions

Finally writing a review after my 4th visit to Radicchio Cafe. I absolutely love this place, and is my number 1 Italian BYOB in the city. Great spot for a double date, although beware they do not take reservations. So, get there early or enjoy a nice walk around old city as you wait. They have great outdoor seating in the summer, and the staff is extremely accommodating to various party sizes. Also, they accept credit cards!

They have numerous long-time customers who are very friendly. One even shared their own personal olive oil with my friends and I! Very fun environment!

Staff is beyond friendly

I'm in complete shock that I've never written a review for this gem of an italian eatery in our old neighborhood. We consistently bring our family and friends here when we want an intimate and authentic experience that is consistently fantastic. You're always treated like family in the classiest of ways and always have an absolutely outstanding meal. We look for any reason to go when we're back in the area and would recommend that you RUN, don't walk, here for dinner the next time you're looking for an amazing Italian experience.

Also, I understand that it&apos

Such a perfect date night spot! We came here for a girls night out and it was packed. So cozy and the service is stupendous. They make you feel at home and the food is fantastic! We started with the burrata and chargrilled calamari and octopus. It was phenomenal! The octopus and calamari had the perfect sear and texture. I had the Farfalle Delizia and I will have dreams about the delicious blush sauce that costed the shrimp, scallops and perfectly cooked pasta. My friends had the Ziti Toro and crab fettuccine and loved it. This place is BYOB too. Double win!

Walked here (maybe I wouldn't recommend this) Tuesday night, i had been recommended to the NJ location but never made it so I saw it was a 13 min walk and decided to try it out finally.

Situated near everything but not super close, its a great spot, you can see in the festive decorations and groups eating as you approach. I got in and was worried because I didn't make reservations but they don't take reservations.

So I was in luck, seated right away and got to order quickly. Got the special salad (burrata) and the classic spaghetti and meatballs. Later told I should've gotten

Very cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Windows open wide and even the indoor seating was integrated well with the outdoors. BYOB here is a nice plus, although we didn't come prepared. We arrived before the evening rush, so there was plenty of seating. By the time we left, the place was packed (no reservations).

The food was very good, favorite was the grilled octopus appetizer. Nice seared flavor. The halibut special was a little dry. Pasta dishes were very good, although a little light on the seafood.

I'd heard a lot of good things about Radicchio and can see how, when all cylinders are firing, it can be a charming, old-school Italian experience for an intimate occasion like date night. I stopped by half an hour before the lunch service was supposed to end - with only two other parties in the restaurant at the time - and found the waiter to be rather annoyed and perfunctory.

In particular, the waiter rattled off all the specials at hyper speed in a clearly disinterested manner, so much so that I could barely understand what he was saying. Nothing on the menu piqued my interest as much
