Portobello Cafe was created in 2008 by owner and manager Antonio Logioia. A true Italian, born in the Basilicata region of Italy, Tony spent most of his young adult life traveling the world and working in service, immersed in the diverse cultures and cuisines of the world. Settling down in Philadelphia, PA, Tony opened Portobello Cafe with the hope of bringing a little piece of his homeland's own flavor and feeling to the people of Eddystone.

Where to begin..
One of the most amazing dining experiences I can remember. Make reservations in advance because it's worth it and you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is as enjoyable as the food as well as the service.
For appetizers the family had the octopus and the fried calamari..by far the best we've ever had.
(The complimentary bread was delicious as well.)
For entres we ordered the Chicken Parm, Lasagna, Lobster Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs. Each dish was phenomenal..
If you are looking for a memorable date night or a fantastic night out with the family, this is your restaurant

It was just ok. It was quick but that's about it. My wife really liked the portobello ravioli. I got lasagne and it was uneventful. Got some weird vibes from one of the servers, was pretty rude, the other was pleasant. I love these small places but I'm not sure I'll return... Maybe I just had an off night. Might try again.

This is probably our 4th visit. The service and food are consistently good once one bonds with the server. Servers are either family or longtime staff members so they know the menu, know what's fresh and will recommend based on that basis. Our outdoor table was beautiful. We had a great time and will be back when we have the time again.

Service was horrible , I had Ants in my soda like a lot of them floating , they didn’t care or apologize . Said it is what it is . Food taste mediocre. Obviously they don’t clean . Dusty windows . The two older men were rude to my fiancé . They wernt pleasant when delivering menus or food . Don’t go here

There were multiple dead bugs in our soda. We fought off flies the entire meal. The Outdoor dining area looks like a junkyard. It was absolutely horrific. The waiter blew it off like it was nothing. Said… it’s that time of the year “ lol. No manager or owner even came to our table to apologize. I’m shocked how bad it was after reading great reviews. Food was awful. Fried mozzarella was shriveled up, meatballs are from the freezer and chicken parm was thick chicken breasts. Waiter was rude. The whole experience was horrible. I was shocked at the whole thing. Just so upsetting

Food was mediocre at best. Oysters were served dry & sandy. Steak was served rare not medium-rare as requested. Bad vibes started from the min we approached the back seating area. We should have left then! Server treated my two children & I as if we weren't good enough to be there. We were not told the specials, then he asked if we needed help with/understood the menu. We go to lots of nice places & this is def not one of them. Even my 13 year old son was unimpressed by the whole experience. My 11year old loves steak, but couldn't even eat more then two bites. When i asked

This place never disappoints! I have been here a few times, and during covid and everything is amazing. I'm not sure what is better - the food or the staff!! I got the eggplant parm and it was amazing. My friends got the raviolis, lobster raviolis, and the fettuccine portobello cafe. Everything was sooo good!!! Did not disappoint.
We also got appetizers- calamari, bruschetta, and mussels. Everything was perfect. The calamari was the best I've ever had.
Wish I had pictures of the food but I only took a video of everyone's and then we started eating!
And it's also a BYOB!

Soooo good. Don't listen to the people who said the service was bad. The service is traditional Italian old school, you want parm? I know how much you should have, you want bread, I'm dropping it on the table and moving on bc I'm freaking working. It's delicious. If you expect people to hold your hand while you eat, this ain't the place for you. If you want someone to drop a plate of amazing pasta in front of you and hustle back the kitchen, go soon, go today, go now. Yum.

I have eaten here a few times and it's just ok. They have high aspirations but they always seem to fall just short. I was just there for Mother's Day and graduation party. It's not fair to judge that day but it was the same as usual. Had calamari, bruschetta. And buratta as appetizers. They were all ok. The Caesar salad was ok and the veal saultembucca was over cooked and served with fried potatoes. The venue is a bit strange, sort of like someone's house turned into a restaurant. The service was professional. It's not like I don't want to eat here. I just wouldn&apos
