Tessa has been a wonderful experience for our entire family. We see our daughter advancing on so many levels and get excited about the learning development she is receiving at this school. The staff is extremely responsible, dedicated and demonstrates a strong level of professionalism. We love the teacher to child ratio and the curriculum is far superior to anything else we've seen in Hoboken.
Tessa International School is located in the heart of Hoboken in NJ. We are located on the ground floor of the Monroe Center: a newly renovated, historic industrial site, including two buildings and a parking lot. The Monroe Center already hosts numerous child-friendly activities, making it one of the most convenient leisure centers for families in Hoboken and the neighboring towns.
Tessa International School is located at 720 Monroe Street in Hoboken, NJ, between 7th and 8th Streets. By bus: take the NJ Transit Bus Route 126 to Hoboken and get off at 8th Street and Willow Avenue (peak time only) or 8th and Washington Streets. Head west on 8th Street then turn left on Monroe Street.

We have been very happy with our experience at TESSA this year and are constantly pleasantly surprised with our child's progress, both with her vocabulary but also the range of social and emotional learning they do. The staff and administrators are caring, open and helpful at all times. It's been a great environment for our family.

We sent our son to the Tessa summer program and he had a great time. They have multiple language programs with a fantastic staff. The staff was very flexible and accommodating as it was our son’s first full day school and drop off experience. I would recommend the school to the those who are in the area who would like to expose their children to a well structured bilingual program.

We learned about Tessa when taking our toddler to classes at the Monroe centre - and we're so glad we discovered this school! Our son is enrolled in French 2's program three days a week and is well on his way to becoming trilingual. The teachers are a dream, they are all so caring and nurturing and very attentive to all the children in the classroom. We love that there is a mix of nationalities represented in his class and throughout the whole school. The IB values and curriculum ensures that he is receiving a well rounded, holistic, intellectually rigorous education. The school also celebrates

There's no better gift you can give your child than the gift of bilingualism. Countless studies show that bilingual children perform better on standardized tests, have better focus, stronger emotional skills - the list goes on and on and on. My daughter started Tessa at 2.5 y/o and within 12 months she was DREAMING in Spanish!
If you care about giving your kids the best possible head start and they've got the opportunity to attend I highly recommend enrolling at Tessa.

Tessa is the best school for our family. I stumbled upon it and I would keep my girls there through High School if they grow that big. Tessa has taught my kids manners, social etiquette, academics, and motivation. And all in Spanish!!!! I absolutely love this school and I will continue to support them in any capacity I can beyond my kids' education

As other reviews point out, the bilingual curriculum is great - our daughter has advanced her Spanish speech and comprehension unbelievably in a few months (and they also offer French and Mandarin). However, what has always stood out to my wife and I is the warmness of the teachers and administration. They really do care about building a great school where children feel welcomed and loved. The classrooms are bright and spacious and it just feels like a great environment for children to learn. We look forward to Tessa continuing to grow and expand!
