Services
Mindful Yoga has been a part of the Kenosha community since 2000. We offer therapeutic hatha yoga classes and workshops centered on breath awareness and meditation. Mindful Yoga was born out of a desire to provide pure healing yoga for the community in an intimate, warm and inviting environment. We are registered and certified with Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapy.
An engaging class for experienced students and teachers. Take your practice to the next level. Focus and explore anatomy and alignment. Learn wants vs. needs of your mind and body. Work with foundation postures, the subtle energy, yoga philosophy, ayurvedic principles, diaphragmatic breathing, pranayama, and meditation.
Get back to nature in this all-levels class and release energy on the evening of the full moon. Practice includes Salutation to the Moon (Chandra Namaskara) sequence with variations. Bring a yoga mat or large towel, small throw pillow, and light blanket for relaxation. By appointment only with certified yoga therapist Pamela Grubb.
Connect to a deeper part of yourself using the chakra system and the 5 vital elements or Vayu's. These energies help us develop our inner direction and focus. The subtle energies are used in hatha yoga postures, pranayama, and meditation to control, direct, and gain access to further our understanding of the practice.
Take your teaching to the next level in this series of 4 trainings. Enhance your teaching skills, expand your knowledge, deepen your understanding, and improve your observational skills. Join us around our community for informational lectures or classes lead by Mindful Yoga's founder and master yogi.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism
Pam is extremely knowledgeable and is able to look at the individual and offer poses and accommodations that work to relieve pain and stiffness. Being a yoga therapist makes her so much more attune to what you need to relieve discomfort. I highly recommend her especially for those who want to improve their overall health.

I have been regularly attending the yoga therapy sessions at Mindful Yoga since March. I'm a 71 year old woman who is somewhat out of shape, and beginning to realize I'm not as spry or energetic as I once was. I can honestly say that Pamela has changed my life for the better. She has a calm, soothing, professional manner. The breathing and stretching techniques have made me more relaxed, less anxious, more aware of my body's needs. I look forward to each session with Pamela, and am always refreshed and renewed after Yoga class. I cannot give Pamela a higher recommendation.

I LOVE Mindful Yoga! It has really helped me learn to decrease my stress and anxiety in a healthy way! Pam is very knowledgeable and helps students to actually learn the postures and utilize them at home. You can be experienced or have never taken a yoga class at all and you can benefit from it. I look forward to every class I have!

I highly recommend Mindful Yoga Studio to everyone of any age. I have been attending Pam's classes on & off for several years & it is the best thing I can do for myself. I have been suffering with a frozen shoulder which can take up to 2 years to fully heal but with Pam's help I have more movement in just a couple months than I ever expected. Her classes are not just about learning yoga poses...its so much more!

I was looking to relieve my sciatica, that I had had for almost 2 months, I'm not one to take a lot of drugs, so I looked at ways to relieve this,it says stretching, so I thought yoga does a lot of stretching and thought what could it hurt, I have never done yoga before, pam showed me stretches that she thought would be helpful, after the first class it felt better, this has helped me tremendously, I couldn't sleep it hurt so bad and in one session I felt some relief, so I went again and this is really helping me, much better than drugs or physical therapy the doc wanted to send me to. I had Pamela Grubb at UW-Parkside for Yoga 1; I loved it so much I took Yoga 2. I'm a pretty muscular guy (Army Grunt, bodybuilder) and I seriously lacked flexibility and calmness. After taking her first course I noticed a calmer and focused me, which made me happier and energized. She can be a little stern in the beginning but she is an absolute sweetheart.

I was a total beginner before Pam's yoga1 class, and I learned a lot about breathing and correct body positioning in poses. Class was small and not intimidating at all. It was great to have that hour of quiet mind every week. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking to try yoga!
