Services
Septic pumping (also referred to as septic cleaning or septic draining) is a necessary step in maintaining your septic system. A septic tank is designed to separate and trap the solids from the sewage entering a septic system. The resulting, cleaner wastewater is commonly referred to as effluent and exits your septic tank through the outlet pipe and flows into the absorption field.
Septic systems and public sewer systems are not designed to handled grease. If you dump your bacon and chicken grease down the drain on a regular basis, you can expect problems to arise soon. Neglecting your grease trap is costly and unpleasant in the long term. Chavis Septic Services is licensed to clean, pump, haul and dispose of grease trap byproduct.
Depending on where you live, certain counties have different regulations on the maintenance of septage holding tanks. If you live on a property that has septic holding tanks or you are looking to purchase a property that does, you should know what it consists of. A holding tank is used in situations where a septic system cannot be put in due to poor drainage of soils present on the property.
Have a septic cleaning and pumping related question? Chavis Septic Services has the answer. Check out these FAQs and give our local, family owned company a call today at (410) 838-1200 for more information. During a septic pumping and cleaning, the technician fully pumps out your tank until empty of liquids.
When purchasing a septic inspection, hire a qualified inspector from Chavis Septic Services who will make sure the system is working properly. Our inspectors follow the full set of guidelines set by the Maryland Onsite Wastewater Professionals Association regarding septic inspections. A thorough, in-depth inspection must be completed to see that everything is working.

Was REALLY impressed with Chavis! Having a house built and they did an awesome job on hooking up the Water & Sewer from the County line to my property line. Met with Ryan Frick. Professional, responsible and diligent in his work. Job was done when he said it would be done and I KNOW it wasn’t easy! Have already recommended Chavis to others. That was easy!

This company is number one in my book especially when it comes to installing a innovative septic system / bat when you're spending this type of money you need to make sure you go with a company that is familiar with these types of systems because they are not your conventional septic system this company went above and beyond to protect my property and to put my yard back together when they were finished I highly recommend this company
