Assisting Hands
Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's can be an extremely challenging experience for families. We believe in using a team approach that includes coordination with doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists and family members. In-home care is most often the best choice of care for a dementia patient.

Many families prefer to keep their loved one at home so they can remain in familiar surroundings with less disruption to their routines, resulting in less confusion. Our comprehensive transitional care program helps ensure that you will remain safely and comfortably in your home when transitioning from a hospital or rehab.
Services
Assisting Hands Home Care grew out of a desire to provide seniors, and others needing non-medical assistance at home, with the option that most people prefer - to remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes. Assisting Hands is a home care franchise company that emphasizes exceptional customer service and highly personalized in-home care to meet the needs of our clients.
Assisting Hands can provide assistance in the privacy of their own home for you or a loved one. Our caregivers have training and experience in providing home health care. They have successfully passed extensive background checks, as well as being insured, bonded, and trained in CPR and First Aid.

Assisting Hands will help you select the best matched caregiver from its pre-screened group of available assistants and can have qualified help placed in your home generally within 48 hours or less of the initial call.
Lane Kofoed is President and CEO of Assisting Hands Home Care and leads the executive team with a diverse background, including public accounting, financial auditing, systems integration and management consulting for Price Waterhouse and other consulting firms. Kofoed previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Assisting Hands, working closely with the management team in sales, marketing, operations, training and support.
A new study finds the price of most long-term-care services are rising faster than inflation, and by 2050 the nation's long-term care services bill is expected to top $379 billion. The most preferred form of care is in the home, and the cost of home care performed by a non-skilled home health aide remained flat in most regions of the country.
Assisting Hands Home Care offers our clients personalized non-medical caregiving services in their homes. Our caregivers provide the elderly, disabled, and others needing assistance the option to maintain their independence and quality of life by assisting with their daily needs, avoiding falls, preventing medication errors, and addressing Alzheimer/dementia concerns.

I just wanted to take the time out to write that I'm very proud to work for this company. I mean that in every aspect. Emmie never fails to help her workers in any way possible. Alongside her husband, Louis and the rest of the amazing office staff they make you feel apart of the family! I couldn't recommend a better company to work for or hire.

I chose Assisting Hands based on all the positive reviews they had. My 93 year old Mother suffered a stroke. After a week of round the clock care I knew I needed some help if I was going to keep her at home. The owner Emmie, was so kind and supportive when I spoke with her and had help for me in a short period of time. Every Caregiver she sent was on time, professional and knew exactly what to do to help me. I so needed this because this type of care for my Mom was all new to me. Everything about Assisting Hands is first class and worth every penny you will pay. I highly recommend this individually

We had the pleasure of working with Emmie Knox and her team at Assisting Hands for the past year and half. We were taking care of my wife's aunt who was suffering from Alzheimer's. They were incredibly easy to work with and responsive. We managed to keep the same caregiver for the whole time, and she was so knowledgeable and kind. She was just the best to the wife's aunt the whole time. We could not have asked for better support through all of this.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a caregiver for their loved one. They will take good care of you and lighten

I came to Assisting Hands after trying several other agencies in town. I wish I had found them much sooner. From the intake process to the scheduling and billing, they were top notch and very easy to deal with. And the caretaker they set us up with was by far the best person who we've ever worked with. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a reliable, first-rate agency to help with the care taking of your loved ones.

Thanks to Emmie and the entire company for the kind assistance they give my 88 year old mom who needed extended care after a unexpected rapid decline in her health. They came out the same day I called and sent out an aide that night (a big thanks to Sandi B for her wonderful care) and provided all the assistance we required for the remainder of the time we needed until we could get my mom into a facility more suited for her needs. From a business standpoint, I liked the fact that we could stop services with just a twenty-four hour notice and that they have no requirement for a minimum number of

Assisting Hands is a fantastic company run by genuinely good people. They care deeply about their clients and employees and are always looking for ways to improve. I especially I admire that the founder, Emmie Knox, is a social worker.
