We are an independent compounding pharmacy completely devoted to preparing customized prescriptions. Our prescriptions, like the patients we serve, are one-of-a-kind. With a doctor's order, we prepare every prescription by hand to meet the individual therapeutic needs of each patient, including kids, animals, and adults.
Custom Medicine uses USPS Priority Mail to ship compounded medications within Massachusetts and the dozen other states we are licensed in. All medications are expertly packed, and patients are charged only for the shipping costs with no extra handling fees. When necessary, ice packs and insulated mailers are used to maintain product stability.
Simply put, it is the act of creating a customized prescription that can be tailored to meet individual needs and usually, solve a medication problem. Upon receipt of a physician's prescription, the pharmacist custom makes the medication from scratch using pharmaceutical-grade chemicals or a manufactured medication as the base.

One reusable pen on a string. Less plexiglass than the bank.

“We have plexiglass. There is no mask mandate in Beverly. Sorry if we upset you.”
Many other safe options to get medicine where you don’t risk Covid exposure.

I’ve been using them as a cash customer for years. Ruthie has always taken responsibility for any mistakes which are few and far between. The owner facilitated treatment of my chronic condition by bending over backwards to make a very pricy medication as inexpensive as possible. I recommend them to everyone. I had been trying to get a specific medication for my problem and my insurance and my primary care physician (or their office 🤬whoever) fought me tooth and nail. This pharmacy and their employees fought for me... i have never been here before today, yet thwy still fought for my health and my comfort i was looking at a long time off work but these people who had never ever had me as a customer stood fast amd stood up for my health and well being. Ruthie i owe u dinner many times over . Thank u folks for being so helpful in a time of crisis for me. I wish i could get every prescription at this

Rude and disrespectful, especially a woman named Ruthie. They couldn’t refill a rx before a storm so I looked for another compound pharmacy who could. They called me telling me I needed to call them to cancel the order because it would have been a waste of time and money. I had planned on cancelling as soon as the other pharmacy could guarantee that they could make it today. Calling me and yelling at me is not very professional.

Great service and they can compound almost any medication! We actually get our kittie's medication here - they always have it ready on time, even add a chicken flavor to it, and the price is very competitive!
Only downside is the location - it's right at a big intersection and limited parking. Otherwise love it!

Do NOT, I repeat..... do NOT call this place...... The worst, most unhelpful, pharmacy I've EVER attempted to deal with. Pharmacist known as 'Cindy' was totally and completely the most unprofessional person I've spoken with. You're in a profession where you need to check your attitude. Having a bad day? Leave it at home instead of taking out on the customer who is just trying to understand the process and procedure.

Fantastic, friendly customer service! I called looking for food-grade castor oil made by NOW FOODS (the only brand that claims to be safe for internal use). They did not have it but offered to order it.....to arrive in only 2 days! I called Whole Foods, GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe and anyone else I could think of....should have called here first!
