Dr. Pingel is a native of Nebraska and was raised in Iowa. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Iowa State University, Dr. Pingel matriculated to the Illinois College of Optometry where he completed both his doctorate and B.S.V.S. in 2000.
He then completed a post-doctorate internship at the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago, where he received extensive training in ocular disease and emergency eye care.Since 2003, he has been in private practice in the Kansas City area with emphasis on the treatment of chronic ocular disease, pediatrics, and advanced contact lens fitting.

I was in the market to find a new Eye doctor that was locally owned, and when I stumbled upon Mission EyeCare I was super excited to try them out to see if it was a good fit. I went in for my new patient appointment today and they exceeded all expectations! From my initial phone call to schedule an appointment, to checking in, and the actual appointment, I was completely taken care of and everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgable. I've been coming here for that past maybe 6 or more years for my annual check, and all I have to say they are absolute the best! Staff is super nice as well as the doctors. Had to go same day to get check for a medical concern and they did make an appt. For me right away that same day. Love this place.

Mission EyeCare went beyond our expectations. They were welcoming, friendly, educational and accommodating to both mine and my husband’s needs. Every one of their staff members were genuine and helpful. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone in the KC metro area. We will be returning annually!

Mission eye care offers phenomenal service from their entire team. The girls at the front desk are always friendly and professional, as are the techs and other members of the staff.
Dr. Jared Stoecklein, O.D. is my current doctor and he is very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and I wasn't sitting and waiting long at all for my appointment.
Overall, I am most impressed by the factor of their cutting edge practices with eye care and the ability for their awesome testing I wasn't offered anywhere else. They also accept my insurance with United Healthcare and I have access

Mission eye care is Amazing. The whole staff is very friendly. The staff and doctor did excellent job checking my eyes. They are very thorough and took their time. Not rushing you at all. The staff who helped me pick my glasses were so helpful and gave me honest opinions on which they thought looked best. I will definitely go back.

I recently visited Mission EyeCare for a checkup and Dr. Strong was really great and made me feel comfortable. I don't remember the name of the woman that helped me pick out my frames but she was very helpful and I'm really satisfied with my glasses. A couple weeks after my initial visit I ended up with a red eye that wouldn't go away. I called the office and they were able to fit me in right away, Dr. Strong saw me and gave me a prescription for what turned out to be inflammation. I was in an out which was great. I would highly recommend Mission EyeCare!
