Tom Celani was born in Detroit, Michigan. The son of an Italian immigrant, Tom learned the value of hard-work at a young age when he worked long hours with his father at the family beer distributorship in downtown Detroit. At the age of 26, Tom became the President of Action Distributing Company when his father unexpectedly passed away.
Luna was founded as a gaming company with the goal of building, developing, financing, and managing casino projects throughout the United States. That Luna philosophy still exists today; however, Luna's business investments now reach far beyond gaming. Luna's company principles recognize value in businesses as diverse as auto dealerships to cleaning products and from gold mines to vineyards.
Luna's founder, Tom Celani, began his philanthropic involvement in the local community more than 25 years ago when he became a member of the board of the Hearts of Livonia charity. Even then, Tom understood the importance of philanthropy and giving back to the community. Similarly to his business, Tom's philanthropic involvement in the community has expanded during the last 25 years.
Tom Celani has been a pioneer in the gaming industry for over 30 years with experience as a developer, innovator, supplier, operator, financier, and, of course, an owner. While Luna takes care and caution in all of its businesses, gaming is Luna's fundamental core competency.
Beginning with Tom Celani's early experience with Sodak Gaming that helped shepherd in the birth of Native American casinos to spearheading the Michigan statewide voter referendum to legalize three casinos in Detroit, Luna is always at the cutting edge of gaming activity.

In August of 2012, Luna acquired Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, one of Southeast Michigan's premier outdoor entertainment venues. Freedom Hill Amphitheatre offers a first-class entertainment experience with nationally known artists such as Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson, Styx and Il Volo and dining options ranging from traditional concert fare to a private VIP dining experience.
