I can't say anything negative about my service I receive at Donovan's. They are always straight up on what needs to be done, what the issues are, and the prices for being in Quincy is hands down reasonable! Donovan's will help with any issues I have, and will help direct me in the direction I need to go to if they can not help me. They are willing to help if they are able to and will assist in guiding you to others who are reasonable with pricing if they are unable to help you.

My car had a washing machine noise within one of rear wheels whenever I drove. I took it here and got it looked at early in the morning. 2 hours later, they found the issue and told me it was ready for picky up. Turned out one of the bolts from the brake rotor was loose. Now it runs smooth and quiet. Good and efficient service

I own an '05 Acura MDX and had emission issues. The code was reading an Idle Valve Control problem. The dealer wanted $1300 for it (later found out, there's no such part in the 3rd gen MDX, it's the entire throttle body) I called around and got referred to these guys, was told they are honest and really good with emissions.
I dropped it off and picked it up in a few hrs. Dave told me he cleaned out the throttle and wanted to go this route before replacing things that may not be needed (something I totally agree with)
After $80 (cleaned and recalibrated) my car runs great.

Only brought my car here once (so far) on the recommendation of a different mechanic because he couldn't figure out my "small evap system leak" problem that was causing a check engine light. couple things that really stuck out:
1) just got a great vibe from the guys. very friendly and knowledgeable
2) they fixed my problem for a fair price the same day
3) given the nature of my problem, a lot of shops would probably have just started replacing parts to see if it fixed it. dave instead spent the extra time to make sure he knew what the problem was and while i did pay for the labor

I've been going to Peter and David for 30 years. They are the most honest people I know. quick story: Back in the day no one had good cars and I would be bringing my various minivans to get fixed. One time when I went in to pay they said "Sit down Kathy. We aren't fixing your van any more. You need to get another car." How many mechanics would say that to you? I can't say enough about these hard working brothers. I LOVE YOU GUYS.

My whole family has been going to Donovans for years. They do a great job and would not bring my car anywhere else.
One time my sister brought in her car because she thought there was something wrong with it. Donovans called her back the next day and said her car was fine and did not charge her a dime. There are not many garages that would do that.

I was very dissatisfied with the customer service at Donovan's. I brought my car there on the recommendation of past reviews and unfortunately did not have the same luck. I have no complaint about the quality of work that was done on my car, but these guys definitely need to learn how to keep their customers happy.
First, I ending up having to pay significantly more than I was originally quoted. Granted they did find some additional work that was needed after I was given this quote, but in my opinion that work was not commensurate with the increase. The price even increased again from

Donovan's is a rare commodity in auto repair - good work, no BS, and spotlessly clean. I took one of my cars there on a recommendation about 5 years ago and have been a repeat customer ever since (extra effort since I live 20 miles away). At first I thought I'd use them for simple stuff like brakes but found that they are factory certified in just about everything including hybrids. They have all the diagnostic computers etc. I've never had any kind of problem with the work they've done and I just get the impression that if there was a problem, they would take care of the issue
