Services
Scott and Renea, the owners, of the Great Harvest are thrilled to be part of the long Great Harvest tradition in Bellingham. We have a passion for great food and strong communities. When we are not in the bakery, you'll find us hiking with our dogs, skiing at Baker, and gardening. Please keep in touch.
Great Harvest has been baking bread the way it ought to be from the beginning, and we still believe in our phenomenal bread-making process. We still believe in using pure, simple ingredients. We still bake everything from scratch. And we still fresh mill our 100% whole grain flour every day. Baking from scratch was the norm for our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so forth.
Our signature and most popular bread is a perfect blend of five pure ingredients - freshly ground, flavor-rich, 100% whole wheat flour, pure honey, filtered water, salt, and yeast. Sunflower, pumpkin, and sesame seeds are generously kneaded into our honey whole wheat dough for a crunchy, hearty, and flavourful bread.
We are always willing to look at a current resume and filled-out application. Feel free to drop both of them off at the bakery. We are located at 305 East Magnolia Street. Must apply in person-no emails or calls. We are currently looking for an EARLY MORNING PRODUCTION ASSISTANT and a FRONT COUNTER SPECIALIST.

First of all, this place smells exactly how a bakery should and is stocked with all sorts of delicious baked goods. I stopped by to pick up some sourdough starter which they provided free of charge. Afterwards, Scott, shared some of his time and knowledge on how to make my new sourdough starter thrive. Wonderful staff, fantastic products, and fair prices. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

OMG. Such an amazing bakery. I don't usually give out give stars. However, this place deserve it.
The baked goods are so delicious. They have a large selection. So far my favorites are Popeye bread and cinnamon apple roll. I am sure I will have more favorite.
On top of that, the customer service was courteous,
friendly, and professional.
Thank you, Great Harvest.

Great Harvest really missing the mark the past few weeks: Giving the wrong loaf of bread one week and then over-charging the next.
Great Harvest knows how to make bread right and their service is always impeccably friendly. They have a loaf for anyone and a great selection of dessert items. They also do experimental breads if you ask and you can order ahead of time so that you don't find yourself scrambling to get a loaf on holidays (they also do a lot of holiday breads!).
If you compare a whole grain loaf here to one at a grocery store, you'll already tell from the hefty weight that

I can't say enough great things about this bakery! We are regulars here every week, picking up a fresh loaf of their Honey Whole Wheat or Heirloom Spelt bread. It's so nice to be able to grab a free slice with the kids as an after-school snack as well. The staff is friendly and everything we've ever tasted here has been oh-so-yummy!

*Currently stuffing my face with their raspberry scone...*
I work dangerously close to this establishment. Each time I go, the staff is incredibly friendly and I looove their sample bread selection. Today I had a raspberry coconut cake slice and it was heaven. Anyhow... great prices, yummy breads and pastries. I'll be back once a week

Best bread in Bellingham central (Bread Farm is best overall) with excellent customer service and multiple options for gluten free breads, treats and cookies.
Try anything as a sample, and check for daily rotations and offerings.
They constantly have a delectable monthly special too!
Parking is okay, due to a private lot, but make sure to enter and exit the right way on the one way streets!
Try the spelt bread- tastes better than most usual breads, much less a gluten free loaf! Omg!
Their cinnamon chip bread is my secret ingredient to French toast that about makes grown men cry. Taste it

The prices are very good here, and staff is friendly, I like their Cinnamon Raisin Bread- they always have a loaf of bread they will cut in slices to offer for you when you walk in- good way to try new bread :)

For those who pine for ¨Panera¨ bread shops, please know that we have amazing local options in Bellingham. These are handcrafted baked goods concocted and produced in our town, with our hands. Great Harvest provides many varieties of yeasty breads, pound cakes, scones, and so many more baked delights. Step out of the chain box (GHB are locally owned) and delve into these tasty treasures: Ho Ho Pistachio pound cake and Mocha Bourbon bread.

The bread at Great Harvest is what I consider the best and healthiest in Bellingham WA. At my doctors recommendation I started eating the Kamut Bread. Going in once a week to get my bread. I do not own a car and have to travel by bus to get to the shop. On Friday 2/7/14 we had a very very light dusting of snow. The store said because of the snow they did not make the bread but would be making it on Saturday. When I called the store on Saturday they said no one should have told me that. It just seems the store does not have enough leadership.

Check this place out. They have your typical sandwich loaf of bread in several flavors, but they also have breads with original flavors. They always allow you to sample their breads when you walk in, so you can usually see if you like a bread before you buy it. I really like that they have gluten free breads, and I enjoy their applesauce cinnamon buns they sell individually.
The breads are all super tasty and they have a rewards-style card (buy so many loaves, get one free) which is a bonus. They also have a "day old" section that gives you 20% off the items that are there.

At last! I don't feel guilty eating white bread in front of my mom!
It's all been said, but there's nothing quite like walking in to a friendly greeting and a slice of your flavor choice. Great way to try a new one or reunite with an old friend ;)
Shout out to the Great White loaf, the Cinnamon crusted loaf, and the Sundried Tomato and Cheese. This is coming from someone who usually doesn't like sundried tomatoes! Won me over on my last visit.
Loaves run fairly standard price for artisan breads, compare with any other fresh bakeries and you'll see what I mean. These

Great Harvest has some really delicious breads, and their selection is always changing with the seasons. The baked goods are high quality and fresh and you don't feel guilty eating them. The italian flatbread in the summer is to die for, and the berry cream cheese scones are always a treat- sweet but tangy. Yum :)
