For quicker service with less contact we encourage our customers to use our online ordering system. Select which location you would like to order from below and if you require curbside pickup, call when you are outside. This system is for same day orders only. If you would like to place an order that will not be picked up same day, please call the shop.

Good breads and pastries start with the best ingredients-high-quality flour, real milk, full-fat butter-and finish with time-proven methods and practices. We use a slow fermentation for our breads, resulting in better digestibility and more complex and nuanced flavors. Our Virginia Sourdough contains local flour to give it some Albemarle terroir.

Arrived seventh in line before opening. But it was totally worth it! Along with the warmth of the bake house the delicious smells slap you in the face when you step in, and everything looks delicious... so come hungry. Sticky buns, pan a chocolate, and other tasty items made their way onto my bill, but somehow didn't last the full drive home! Keep up the great work team at MarieBette!

We were told they had no seating and we're not able to be seated even though we were the only customers. The coffee was not good and the quiche was served to us cold after they "heated it". To give them some credits the quiche tasted really good.

TERRIBLE customer service. My dad ordered chocolate almond croissants over the phone and paid for a pick up order for my birthday. We go to pick up the order and they have us the wrong items. I told them it was incorrect and they wouldn’t give me the correct items or even let me pay the difference because I had stepped out of the store with the order. How was I supposed to know the items were wrong without opening the bag? I explained to them that’s not what we ordered and they refused to do anything about it and we’re incredibly rude. I used to love this place and take people there whenever

Easily the best European inspired pastries in Charlottesville, what more do you need? Banana sourdough bread is something I've never seen before and is really good. Their T-shirts are hilarious.

After trying the everything Pretzel Croissant, I had to take the rest of the workday off. I could think of nothing else but that buttery, savory, crispy, fluffy and, dare I say, somewhat transcendent culinary experience.
Their other baked goods are delightful, too.

Let me preface this by saying that the pastries seem to be a lot of the draw, and without them having any vegan options, I wasn't able to partake. I got the plain baguette, and it was underwhelming, overly crisp on the outside and a cold inside. While it wasn't priced the worst, my friend got a sandwich, and that along with the coffee was quite highly priced, the mocha perhaps the most underwhelming coffee I have had yet in my four years in charlottesville...for $7. Not vegan friendly, not cheap, not good.

Wonderful local bakery with friendly employees and tasty treats. Each time we visit Charlottesville we get the pecan buns. We also tried the apple pie this trip, so good!

The 5 stars is for the pastries. The Pastries are delicious, the coffee is lackluster.
There are 2 locations, and this is the better one in my opinion. Definitely try their canalés, their palmiers, and their kouign amann if they have it. Their pastries change all the time so if you blink you might miss it.
Their canalés are delicious. Crispy on the outside and fluffy and creamy on the inside. I’ve never had one before but now I’m hooked and I can’t get enough. The Kouign amann tastes similar to an apple turnover, but it’s much richer, crispier, and has a crunchy buttery crust.

Delicious if a bit expensive. The best bakery in town especially now that HotCakes is gone. Lots of bread and rolls, treats, and their food is to die for. Good for Sunday brunch or to get bread for weeknight meals. Delicious. Highly recommend their apple pastry, but heat it up. Best baguette ever.

Wonderful breads and pastries. Super cute shop owned and run by really nice people. Definitely recommend the sourdough, absolutely delicious toasted with jam and butter. Follow @marleyrecs on Instagram for more Charlottesville recommendations!
