I went in to have dip nails done and will not be going back. An extra $10 charge to remove the past color (I've never seen a salon with an extra charge and I've been to dozens), very limited color selection (less than half of what I've seen it other salons), and bubbles on two nails.

Manager, thanks for your response but I will pass. I had two infected cuticles for more than a week. I returned to my usual salon and they identified that my nails were not prepped correctly, so it was already falling off. What I originally thought were "bubbles" were actually chips

Really lovely place - clean, well decorated. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The service was professional and friendly. Unfortunately I have to give a 3 star review because my gel manicure peeled off completely by day 3 - and I mean completely. I've had gel manicures chip after 4-5 days in the past but I've never had entire coats of polish come off in one piece almost immediately after a manicure. It was almost as if regular polish was accidentally put on my nails. I can't speak to the quality of their other services, but for nearly $50 I am very very disappointed in this

I got a deep tissue massage. It was above average. I wanted a deep tissue massage but the girl that gave me the massage was a Swedish trained masseuse so it wasn't her specialty. I thought her demeanor throughout the massage was very professional and communicative in terms of making sure I was happy with the pressure and focusing on the right areas.
I'd go back because the price was reasonable but I probably wouldn't go back for a deep tissue massage.

I have been a client of Verve for years, and have never had a negative experience. Dakota has been my go-to stylist for years, and she has always done an amazing job with my hair. Not only is she a gifted stylist, she is also one of the nicest people I have met here in Pittsburgh.
Dakota goes out of her way to ensure that her clients are happy, and works closely with everyone to attain the look they request. She goes above and beyond, and the salon should be happy to have her, not embarrassed! I recommend Verve and Dakota to all of my friends that are seeking a new salon.

I came here for a couples massage with my husband for our anniversary. It was kind of a last minute appointment. We were glad they had an opening at short notice. Maty and Amiee were great. They were friendly and did a good job. They serve coffee and tea for their guests and even offered to let me use their showers after my massage. Highly recommend this place!

A friend and I tried out our first aerial yoga class on Tuesday night with Will. It was definitely challenging, but it was also a lot of fun! He was a great instructor. I struggled with some of the moves a bit, and he was very helpful getting me through the class safely :)

Working with Bri has been such a wonderful experience! She always listens really well to what I'm wanting or looking for in a cut or product and then she delivers beyond expectation. I always love my cuts (and receive compliments!) and also have been loving her blow outs. Coming to verve for my haircut with Bri is an experience I look forward to every two months :)

Pros: The atmosphere is very nice. The people are very kind and welcoming. There is nice music playing, and I enjoy being there. They welcome you in and offer you wine, water, and tea. I loved when the stylist washed my hair. It was very relaxing!
Cons: I absolutely hated my haircut! I had my hair colored, which was done fine. However, I had bangs cut, and they were done very, very poorly. Located directly across from the Renaissance hotel, you'd think they could handle getting there on time for a session purchased for a bride & groom the morning after their wedding.
Scheduled a 1 hour massage for 10:30 am. Verve calls the bride at 10:25 am to ask her which room (they were supposed to confirm this previously as we discussed during booking). Bride was preparing for their arrival and missed the call. Returned the call at 10:33 am. At this point they tell her it is now too late and they don't have time to "fit her in" this morning.
We were extremely disappointed

After coming in to get highlights to even out my hair color, I was given a root treatment that turned my roots orange. After 6+ hours of trying to fix it I left in tears. Not one hair stylist tried to give mine tips or tricks on how to fix the mistake. I get that mistakes happen but each time she tried to fix it, it got worse. I'm not very picky about my hair color at all but this was horrendous. Spent 250$ at a different salon to get it fixed and luckily my hair looks great now!

Had a massage done by Pam which was the most active Swedish I think I've ever gotten but I felt amazing after! She moved and stretched my limbs (requiring no effort from my end) and kneaded my muscles into relaxation. Definitely recommend it.
I also got a mani/pedi down from Dakota who was equally awesome. My pedi turned out great but my gel mani chipped within a day which I've never had happen before. Still pleased with the nails.
