A work injury can have significant impact on you and your family. Injured workers often face the risk of losing their source of income, the ability to provide for their loved ones, or to return to lead a good life after a severe injury that results in disability. Some injured workers want nothing but to return to work.
Others might not be able to go back to their job because of medical limitations and require retraining or vocational rehabilitation to start a new career. For those that suffer partial or full disability, additional medical and financial benefits must be obtained in order to ensure that they can recover from their injury and continue with their life.

The most important thing is to take care of yourself first. You can worry about your workers' compensation claim later. It is best to see a doctor right away and report your injury to your employer even if you think you will recover quickly. If you need to file a workers' compensation claim, your doctor will help you.
There are two kinds of workers' compensation claims in Washington State: An industrial injury claim and occupational disease claim. Often, arguments are made to decide if an industrial injury claim should be allowed. In the State of Washington, claim administration can either be State funded or Self-insured.

I am happy I found Tara and her law firm. I first heard about them on Facebook. I called in and had several consultations that were free. After talking to the attorney and the staff, they gave me some advice on things I can do myself. I ended up needing an attorney and hired them. The claim is going well and every time I talk to tara and the staff I feel that they really care. Thank you for all your hard work. Glad I found you.

I have known Mrs. Reck for just over 5 years now. I work in HR for a large corporation. While my organization does not deal with injured workers very often (since we are a software company), I do see a lot of cases where people get injured at work with our contractors or other companies that my friends work with. I have been referring cases to Mrs. Reck, and I received great feedback from her clients. Several people that I referred got benefits after having issues with the system and were eventually able to get back to work.

We had good experience with this law firm after L&I closed my husband's claim and stopped our payments. They had them open our claim again and my husband ended up getting more medical tests and more treatment that helped his pain. We also got some more money to keep us going while my husband wasn't able to work.

I'm a physician and understand the inherent difficulties that can come with providing care for injured workers. Tara has been doing this for years and understands the challenges and complicating factors that can arise in the L&I system. She does her best to make the process easy for all parties; she is an excellent resource for anyone that needs an L&I attorney or help with these issues.

I consulted with Ms. Reck after my employer's insurance company refused medical tests that were recommended by my doctor. She helped me get those tests and then represented me to help with my claim. We have been communicating on and off for 2+ years. They do a good job keeping me in the loop when there are changes to my claim status and also make sure I visit The doctors office on schedule.

I had the good fortune and pleasure of working with Tara regarding workers’ compensation. Being injured at work is one of the worst experiences someone can go through and the anxiety and stress that accompanies the pain can be overwhelming. Tara is one of the most considerate, intelligent, and proactive advocates I have ever met. She is clear and unwavering in her plan to get you the best result possible and she will take time to explain what is happening in your case.
Probably most importantly, Tara is someone you can trust. She will doggedly go after the results that you need and will not

Tara is a fantastic attorney and a strong advocate for her clients. She has extensive experience in workers comp is a knowledgeable attorney. She's also very friendly and easy to work with. Many attorneys/firms that deal in an area like workers comp are 'mills' that churn through clients as quickly as possible, but Tara is at the opposite spectrum.
If you want someone smart as a whip, experienced in workers comp, and who will take time to truly represent you, go to Tara Reck.
