Laura founded Paper Perennial in 2015 after creating the flowers for her own wedding and awakening a passion previously unexplored. After seeing the delight and wonder on the faces of her friends and guests, she began crafting arrangements, bouquets, and small gifts professionally alongside her career as a high school English teacher.
She makes every order as personally and passionately as she did for her own wedding. She lives in the northwest Chicago suburbs with her husband, Eliot. Given the nature of handcrafted floral design, every design option from color to paper variety is meticulously chosen. We believe that your flowers are more than just a decoration, they're a reflection of personality.

Services
Unlike real flowers, paper flowers can last a lifetime. Our flowers are made primarily with acid and lignin free papers to resist fading and breakage over time so they continue to look as beautiful as they were on the day you received them. Flowers and plants require maintenance, soil, and light to thrive.
Consultations are typically scheduled in the afternoons/early evenings and on weekends. During the summer months (June and July) we are also available for weekday daytime appointments. In-person consultations are generally scheduled at a mutually agreed upon public location. Samples of bouquets, papers, and flower varieties are brought for in-person inspection.
Contact us for information on having a private paper shadow box making class. Many seasons and styles available, or let us design something especially for you and your event! All materials are included and shadow boxes are 8x8 in size. All classes are taught by our owner, Laura. Perfect for a ladies night out, mother/father-daughter crafting, or as part of a bachelorette party!

We used Paper Perennial for our wedding flowers. Laura was awesome to work with. I had a specific vision for my wedding flowers--dark purple roses for the bridesmaids and groomsman, and a combination of purple and book page roses for my bridal bouquet--and she executed it to a T. I kept getting compliments on my beautiful bouquet, and I love that I'll be able to keep it forever. Laura worked together with us to select a floral package that both matched our vision and was within our budget, and we're so grateful for her clear and timely communication and her incredible craftsmanship.
