On average, 30% of the world's population has myopia, and it is projected that 50% of the population will have myopia by the year 2050. Myopia, also known as near-sightedness, is not only inconvenient for those affected-it can actually increase the risk of having certain eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, myopic macular degeneration, and retinal detachments.
At Scott Eye Care, we strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Annual eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed by a licensed optometrist. By diagnosing eye and vision conditions early on, our optometrist is able provide treatment options and in many cases restore or prevent vision loss.

Patients with diabetes and hypertension are strongly encouraged to have a yearly dilated eye examination. Did you know that diabetes is the number one cause of blindness in most adults? Diabetes and hypertension can cause retinopathy-damage to the small blood vessels inside of the eye- and cause permanent vision damage.

I had an eye trauma, resulting in two ER visits. They told me to see an Ophthalmologist as soon as possible. Scott Eye Care called me before they opened Monday morning, and I was able to go in first thing for a checkup. The staff were thorough collecting information, the doctor examed me, informed me of what I needed to do as follow up. Professional and caring.

This was the first time I have been to an eye care facility where every single employee not only knew their profession but was so very confident in them selves and their task. Even though we just met they made me feel like I have been a patient there for years. The doctor was just as down to earth as her staff. Hats off to Scott Eye Care

Today was my first trip to the clinic and I must say it was as great as everyone else has posted. The front office staff were courteous and friendly when arriving. The technician was friendly, easy to work with, and funny. The doctor was quick to come to the room and interacted quite pleasantly. The staff seem to work well together and address any and all questions.
I did not need eyewear so I cannot speak to that side of the business. We will absolutely be coming here for future needs.

Everyone is so nice here, Virgina is my favorite, she is so down to earth. The doctors are amazing and they explain everything you need to know with out you having to ask them. We’ve been coming here for some years now and I don’t think there is any other place I’d go for me and my family! Great Job Staff!!
