Riverbend Campground in Hiawassee, Georgia is located among the picturesque Blue Ridge mountains, along the banks of the serene Hiawassee River. Our RV park is in a quiet location with well-maintained facilities and amenities. Riverbend is a beautifully landscaped park that is family owned and operated, which makes our ever-growing park still feel like a small family affair.

There are 165 spacious, level and graveled sites which can accommodate the largest RVs or Motor Coaches: full hookups, 30 & 50 amp service, campfire rings, picnic tables, and free wireless internet service throughout the park. Hiawassee is the home of the famous Georgia Mountain Fair, Fall Music Festival, and has live entertainment from country music stars at the music hall at various times throughout the year.
Services
Riverbend Campground is situated on land that has been in the Nicholson family for over 150 years. Throughout the generations it was active farm land. For the last 20 years after the death of Carlton Nicholson, the land was idle and owned by his spouse Hazel Nicholson. The family's love of outdoors and being RV'ers themselves generated the dream of converting the land to a campground.

We recently spent 4 nights at Riverbend and it was wonderful. We are 42’ with a “toad “ and had plenty of room in our space. It took a bit to level but it was more operator nuisance than topography. The location was great for day hikes and then trips into town. Being on the River lent itself to nice quiet evening walks after a busy day.
The hay art was amazing and a nice touch of fall in addition to warm days/cool nights.
Will definitely be on our short list of where to return when our travels bring us any where close.

We arrived with reservations an they had given our campsite to someone else while it was their mistake lady in the office was very rude to us , stormed out slamming doors with loud comments, later when she returned the manager had arrived to straighten things out but told us she was her sister in law it was apparent owner/manager was more concerned about family than us as customers
the only nice person in the office was GINA
we will not be back to visit an had several others near our site that said the same THANK U GINA U DESERVE BETFER TREATMENT FROM UR CO WORKERS

Nice park fairly quite. Spacing between sites were close but not to bad. Bath house was very clean as was the laundry. Nice view of the mountains in the valley and a river as one of the parks border. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed a little over 3 weeks so they gave us the monthly rate

THE BEST! River Bend was a gem of a find! All the reviews were spot on. From the family friendly folks, the cleanliness, the amenities, the overall campsites, the camp store, well, I could go on and on about how wonderful it was! I loved our three day stay and will definitely be back with my family! Kids are well behaved, and this campground is a plus for being a kid friendly excursion. Great Laundry facilities. Pets loved it too!
THANKS, see you in our next journey!

My family and I stayed for 4 days. It was a beautiful campground with nice sites. We stayed right on the river. The pool is nice too. They have plenty of sights that are for oversized rigs. Don't forget to stop by the main office and get some ice-cream. The staff is very friendly as well.

Beautiful location and well-kept grounds. We stayed in a large, level electric/water site that backed up to the river. So pretty to step down the little hill into the cold water, wish we had brought kayaks! Nice campground decorations for fall including hay bales painted as cute farm animals. Nice little office and store for items you forgot. Best bathhouses we’ve ever seen in a campground (fresh, clean, with glass shower doors and changing benches in individual stalls). Pool was closed for the season, didn’t use onsite laundry so can’t comment. Looks like a family-run business, young man

What a great campground!! This place definitely exceeded our expectations. We stayed at C4. Right on the river. The C section doesn’t have sewer hookup, but the owner comes around and dumps your tanks for you every couple days. You just don’t see that happen just anywhere. Grounds are well maintained. Bathrooms are super clean. Little details like that, make this a great campground. Sites and level and the hookups are all in the right places. Roads in campground are great for bike riding for kids. This is will be our new Halloween tradition. Good job! Wish every campground we visited was this
